  1. Lusher than a lush thing, the Smiths from this time are superb. I had a 6 string version from this same series (although mine was the reverse of the body woods, so quilt maple over walnut) and it played, as the Americans would say) like butter.
  2. I bought this but have never used it, so it's mint in the box. This foot switch is constructed with steel which is built to withstand heavy use. This product is hard wired at the side with Lynx pro audio cable which is 6 Foot (1.82 Metres) in length. This terminates in a Stereo 6.3mm (1/4″) jack plug. Dimensions: 4.5 Inches in width, 2.5 in height and 7.6 in Length. £13 posted
  3. I bought this to put on a pedalboard, but very quickly realised pedals aren't for me, so this is pretty much min condition. Small amount of velcro on the bottom, otherwise in excellent condition with original box. £25 posted.
  4. Hello all I have two PSUs that have never been used just gathering dust: 2 x 12V Centre Positive - £12.50 posted each 1 x 9V Centre Negative - £8 posted 1 x polarity changer - FREE if you buy a PSU 1 x daisy chain - FREE if you buy a PSU Thanks Gareth
  5. This is the XLT amp bag made by Markbass as part of their Mark Audio range. It is 57cm long by 27cm deep and 20 cam tall. It has a shoulder strap, carry handles with a nice leather pad. Inside is a single padded compartment, externally it has a front pocket and a handy pocket on the top (the Evo 1 foot pedal fits perfectly in here). This one has only ever been taken to rehearsals and is in pretty much perfect condition. These are around £80 new in the UK, if you can find them. I am asking for £55 posted or £50 collected.
  6. Wow, surprised to see this. I thought that combo was staying with you forever Barrie!
  7. My favourite bit in these videos is when he explains and then demonstrates syncopation in the Rio video and then says "well I could listen to that all day". Speaks for generations of bass players in that moment I think
  8. The white nylons have been my default string for fretless since they were released. I love their tone, sustain, tension and chunky gauge (I use the standard, heavier, gauge). The copper whites were lovely too, but they've stopped making them in extra long which I need for my fretless (strung through body, see pic below), so I am just using whites. I also have a set of medium scales on my fretted Epiphone Masterbilt. The black nylons are great if you want the same feel but with a darker tone. They may be expensive but they last years, so it all evens out in the end (as long as you like them of course).
  9. It's a Jaydee bass for sure. Perhaps the other person is John Diggins, or someone from Rotosound? Looks like a trade show. It's a Jam t shirt.
  10. Many moons ago, Bruce strolled into a pub I was gigging at in Guildford. He hung around at the back of the room until we took a break and then came over, introduced himself (as if we didn't know who he was!) and then offered to buy a round. He sat and chatted with us until it was time to go back on, and then stayed to listen to most of the second set. He particularly enjoyed it when we played "Thick as Thieves" Decent chap.
  11. Giving this a run tonight. It's not that powerful, at only 30 watts, but through the FMC cab it puts out plenty of volume and sounds lush 😍
  12. La Bella nylon flats are superb on fretless. Dunlop flats are also really good.
  13. So glad I'm back with a Demeter amp again.  Such a wonderfully clear, warm tone.  Impossible to get a bad sound from it.

That’s it. Clockwise for more gain.

It's not the most tweak-friendly location, for sure....

  14. Damn, if this had been here on Monday I'd have been over before the end of the day. As it is I bought a Demeter instead....
  15. Nearly new Markbass bag for the STU, Evo 1, SA450, SD800, TA501 etc. Does NOT fit Little Mark series. £30 posted.
  16. I bought this a couple of months ago and have been very pleased with it. As I was new to soldering I didn't want to drop a lot of money on one that I will only use occasionally, but I've been impressed with it so far.
  17. I love the Litte Marcus range of heads from Markbass. The EQ points are bang on. Only selling as I really don't need three amps! Pretty much mint/very good condition. 18. PRICE UPDATE: £130 posted Only recently picked this up, but I don't need as many cabs as I have right now. Height: 360mm (14.1") Width: 390mm (15.3") Depth: 360mm (14.1") Weight: 10.7KG (23.5lbs) Power: 150w Impedance: 8 Ohms Cab is in very good condition. Comes with brand new Hot Covers padded sleeve worth £40. These are £249 new at Andertons.
  19. This is very good. Even if you don't like Level (which I do), you can appreciate the level (ahem) of musicianship on display. Not sure about the drummer's strides though
  20. I absolutely love this amp, but GAS is a terrible thing..... This has to be one of the most versatile heads out there. Two channels, which you can use independently (i.e. a bass in each channel) or combined (i.e. clean and dirty). Twelve different amp models to choose from - six on each channel 500 watts at 4 ohms, 300 watts at 8 ohms Choice of fx from Compressor, Chrous, Octaver, Reverb, Envelope Filter or Delay - one on each channel. Amp choices and effects can be changed via MIDI The footswitch allows you to engage CH1 or CH2 or MIX both, turn FX1, FX2 and BOOST on and off, accessthe TUNER with MUTE function pressing and holding the boost switch. Built in tuner Dedicated headphone out and aux in for silent rehearsal Separate FX for each channel I've added yellow dots to make it easier to see how each channel is set, but these will rub off easily enough if you don't like them. Sale includes the footswitch and carry bag. I am firm of £500 posted in the UK.
