  1. What @SurroundedByManatees said. 👍
  2. I sold some strings to Ed. It was a super smooth deal, and I would happily deal with him again.
  3. Looks great. Very similar to my Franz Sirius ❤️
  4. Interesting, but Strings Direct has been selling Rotosound singles for years.
  5. While I love this bass, it just doesn't get played since the acoustic blues project I bought it for folded, so up it goes for sale. Now discontinued, the Epiphone De Luxe Classic is a short scale (30.5") archtop bass. Spruce top on a flame maple body, with an ebony fingerboard on a maple and mahogany five piece laminated neck. I removed the dreadful Shadow piezo pickup and replaced it with a custom made Krivo pickup (£200). I also added Schatten volume and tone thumbwheels in the f hole. The bass is strung with standard gauge La Bella white nylons (I also have a set of La Bella black nylons I put on it previously that are included in the sale), and it lives in a very nice TGI Extreme gig bag. The bass is in excellent condition. The only real "damage" is where I cut the scratchplate to accommodate the pickup, and a filled hole in the neck join from a strap button. Shipping isn't an option, so it's £599 collected. Thanks Gareth
  6. Sadly that went a while ago. I'll PM you shortly.
  7. Thanks for the heads up. Colour me interested...
  8. Apologies, I didn't get a notification for this reply. It's a .105, but it looks like the strings are now sold.
  9. My two Franz basses are absolute perfection in every way. I've owned around sixty basses in over forty years of playing, but to me they are everything I want in terms of playability, build quality, and above all tone. The fretted bass has a chestnut top from a tree that grew in my parent's garden, so that makes it extra special.
  10. Yep, a single 12AX7 as I recall.
  11. I got 111 overall, with mistuning 111, melody 110 and beat 113.
  12. The current Squier Paranormal is rather similar, albeit a J shape body.
  13. These are great amps. I had one and loved it - terrific clean valve tone and plenty of volume. I liked it so much I made a video. I suspect if we were all out gigging it would have sold a while ago. Good luck with the sale.
  14. Excellent heads. The Marcus eq is much better than the regular Little Mark IMHO, and the 250 watts is surprisingly loud.
  15. Back in the late eighties/early nineties, a 1x15 underneath a 2x10 or 4x10 was a staple setup for many bassists up and down the land. I don’t think there’s an issue with what you propose.
  16. Both. I've used Rotosound celluloid .96mm triangle picks, same as Foxton I believe, since I was in a Jam/Weller tribute band about six years ago and really like them. Dunlop Utex are good too.
  17. I really like these strings, but after trying lots of different strings over the last year, I keep coming back to La Bella nylon flats. So, this is a lightly used set of Dunlop Stainless Steel flats, 45 -125. They are lovely and smooth and sound great. The coated silks mean there's very little fraying too. They've been cut for a 3 over 2 headstock and are standard long scale. Cheapest I can find new is £35 (most sell around £50), so save a tenner and have these for £25 posted.
  18. Good idea. Why not drop them an email and ask for specific aftercare guidance?
  19. I sold Phil an audio interface. The whole process was as smooth as you like, and I'd happily deal with him again.
  20. I don’t know tbh. I just spotted it on Instagram and thought it looked good. Edit: A quick Google reveals it is indeed a FSR 2017 Fender '58 Precision Bass Limited Edition Roasted Ash.
  21. Simple yet elegant I reckon.
