  1. Here's my Marcus Limited in situ at a gig. Does it really look that bad? And anyway, it sounds fantastic!
  2. Enrico Pasini at Wood&Tronics makes some very good stuff. He's in Staranzano in the NE corner of the country
  3. I know he's had a fair few endorsements over the years......
  4. No it's just a generic graph off Google to show the concept of how the band pass works. Should have made that clearer I guess!
  5. I have a Little Marcus 800 and love it. The five band EQ is superb, and the VLE is pretty much the same as the one found on the Litte Mark range (slightly different EQ points). The Millerizer function is a band pass filter than only passes frequencies between 5 and 12kHz. I find it to be very musical: it just adds a nice treble sheen to the sound IMO. That said, if I had the choice of a band pass filter or the para eq on the new version of the Marcus, I would choose the latter in a heartbeat.
  6. I doubt very much that is "roadworn". It looks like a proper bit of damage.
  7. Smooth preamp sale to Richard. All good here
  8. Try removing and refitting the offending string, making sure it's well seated in the bridge, saddle and nut. If that doesn't sort it try a different set of strings to see if that cures the problem.
  9. Bought for an acoustic project that went nowhere. Absolutely brand new and also comes with a mains PSU. 17-volt, high-headroom, discrete Class-A preamp 5-band tone control with sweep-mid and low frequency filter EQ mode tailors EQ for bass or most other instruments Phase control and precision notch filter reduces feedback One-knob adjustable compressor smooths playing dynamics Integrated fully-chromatic digital tuner Volume boost foot switch with level control (+12 dB) Balanced XLR D.I. with pre/post EQ setting and ground lift Cost me £200. Yours for £160 posted or £150 collected.
  10. Not that simple, especially if you're singing as well. My nomination is "Don't break my heart again" by Whitesnake.
  11. That looks fab. If someone would buy my (8lb) Franz PJ I’d have this off you in a heartbeat!
  12. Some dowel rods will clean that right up.....
  13. I'd say it's possibly less about the watts and more about the amount of air you're moving. I have no personal experience of those cabs, but the C8 should be a considerable step up from the C4.
  14. Used but not abused fusion shell set. Some oxidising to chrome. Newish Evans 360 batter heads on all toms. 22” kick with Pearl muffler 14” floating floor tom 12” tom 10” tom 14” snare Buyer collects from Hampshire.
  15. My Franz basses ❤️
  16. What sort of trades are you looking for?
  17. Found one in Germany here.
  18. I never found one, and believe me I scoured the internet to find one!
  19. What other instruments are involved? There are very few, if any, ABGs that will really cut it.
  20. Try standard gauge (760T) white nylon flats by La Bella. Meaty to dig in on, a very nice top end, and low tension too. Some people find them too floppy, but if it's between that and regular steel core flats there's no contest for me.
  21. I still remember the first time I listened to a Deep Purple LP. It was "Machine Head", the year was 1978 and I was twelve. I was just blown away by the power and energy of it. Happy, simpler days.
  22. Hello Ash They are to retain the amp in the chassis.
