    Just nicely broken in. These are the set specifically designed to use on basses strung through the body. Used on a Sire P bass, so cut for 4 over 1 headstocks. Some light fraying to silks but it's minimal.

    The pot will have less of an impact on the overall tone than trying different cap values, although a 250K pot will be inherently darker than a 500K one. That said, choosing between linear and audio pots can vary how you hear the change in tone as you dial the pot up or down. If it were me, I'd clean the pot and try a new version of the same cap first, and then take it from there.

    Windham Hill churned out some beautiful stuff in the late 80s early 90s: Michael Manring, George Winston, Michael Hedges.

    No issues at all. The low B is just fine and I keep everything pretty much flat. If anything it's the G string that is a little louder than the others. Luckily I don't spend much time up there

    I love them, but I ended up with a Sire P8 instead, which is superb for the price. 18nn bridge spacing too!

    Latest iteration of my board. Still using the Rockboard Tres 3.0 and the Providence Dual Bass Station, but my purchase of the new Boss Katana 500 head means my trusty Boss MS-3 has been replaced by the Boss GA-FC, which switches the onboard effects. I’ve also added a TU tuner, as the amp doesn’t have one onboard. The Rockboard Power LT XL still sits on the shelf and powers the Providence via 12v adapter, as well as the tuner. Basses go into the Providence and out of the Mod 2.0 to the amp. A stereo cable also comes out of the Mod 2.0 to connect the GA-FC to the amp.
