    What don't you like about them? If it's the tension then the black La Bellas will be no different, just a bit darker sounding.

    I have two sets of very lightly used Newtone strings for sale. Both sets are nickel plated on round cores, low tension, and were cut for 3 over 2 headstocks. The sets are slightly longer than standard and would suit extended scale or through body basses.     I use exactly the same setup and it really is fantastic. The EQ on the Marcus head is spot on. Very good price for the pair too.
