1. These are lovely cabs. Big, yes, but the clarity and depth coming out of them is a thing of beauty.
2.
cheers just done that it's loads better
3. I always use harmonic and fretted at the 12th, not open and fretted.
4. This might help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNdiB2gAUSA
5. Recently purchased on here. Only reason I'm selling is I fancy Tom's TA503 currently for sale here too. Everyone knows the deal with these amps, but if you don't the full Markbass spec is here. Classic Markbass sound, and with 800 watts on tap at 4 ohms this version has headroom for days. September 2014 and Indonesian-made. Excellent condition save for a small scuff on the fascia in one corner (from where the case's zip has rubbed). Includes official Markbass bag too, also in excellent condition. New, this would be £620 + £50 for the bag, so £375 posted fully insured to your door is a very good deal for an amp in this condition.
6. I'm surprised this hasn't sold. The headroom from the Ninja head is unreal, and the cab really can shift some air.
7.
Postage?
Included in the price, but they are now sold.
8. Lightly used, this is the standard gauge set: they sound enormous, but are actually low tension! Silks are in good condition. I used them on a string through body bass. String Gauges: .060, .070, .094, .115, .135 Extra-Long Scale: 760N-B- XL - 38" Ball-End to Silk
9. My two Franz basses are the best I've owned. I've had around sixty basses in my 36ish years of playing, many of which were expensive boutique instruments (e.g. lots of Wals, Smiths, Overwater, ACG etc.) but these basses are without doubt my favourites.
10. Stunning bass!

I took the same picture with my two!
11. Best purchase: My Sirius DC 5 by Franz Basses. Custom made for me and topped with a piece of chestnut from my parent's garden. Just stunning Runner up: My new Markbass CMD Super Combo K1 stack. Also stunning Best value purchase: The CTS pots I used to convert my Franz fretless back to passive. Sounds so much better! Worst purchase: Yet another pedal board purchase that was assembled in a matter of weeks and sold off just as quickly
12. Do we have a price on this yet? Is it UK-made?
13. Thanks Matt. If they're higher than Chromes then not for me! Cheers Gareth
14. Brand new in the pack. Nickelwound For 33" - 35" scale basses (ball end to taper is 37.5" I believe) 045 - 065 - 085 - 105 - 130 Low B is not tapered Really nice, not too tight strings. £25 posted in the UK.
15. What sort of tension are these strings, compared to say GHS Precision Flats, Pyramid Golds, or La Bella nylon flats.
16. La Bella nylon flats have been my go to string on fretless for a long time, but I'm quite enjoying Newtone Platinum nickel coated round cores at the moment.
17. Franz Sirius. I've owned a lot of fretless basses, but this one is the best by some way.
18.
I'm not sure I'm allowed yet .
Well that's just teasing then
19. Hello folks My daughter is just starting A Level Music Tech, with a view to going on to uni to study something similar - she has her eye on Music and Sound Recording at York at the moment. She's been told to think about getting a Macbook running Logic Pro, but new prices are crazy, so I was wondering which older models folk would recommend, and where decent used Macs might be found? Condition is less important than performance in this instance. Should add that I work in a Uni myself and qualify for the Apple discount, but even then a new basic Pro is coming in at £1124 and an Air at £854! Thanks Gareth
