1.
Postage?
Included in the price, but they are now sold.
2. Lightly used, this is the standard gauge set: they sound enormous, but are actually low tension! Silks are in good condition. I used them on a string through body bass. String Gauges: .060, .070, .094, .115, .135 Extra-Long Scale: 760N-B- XL - 38" Ball-End to Silk
3. My two Franz basses are the best I've owned. I've had around sixty basses in my 36ish years of playing, many of which were expensive boutique instruments (e.g. lots of Wals, Smiths, Overwater, ACG etc.) but these basses are without doubt my favourites.
4. Stunning bass!

I took the same picture with my two!
5. Best purchase: My Sirius DC 5 by Franz Basses. Custom made for me and topped with a piece of chestnut from my parent's garden. Just stunning Runner up: My new Markbass CMD Super Combo K1 stack. Also stunning Best value purchase: The CTS pots I used to convert my Franz fretless back to passive. Sounds so much better! Worst purchase: Yet another pedal board purchase that was assembled in a matter of weeks and sold off just as quickly
6. Do we have a price on this yet? Is it UK-made?
7. Thanks Matt. If they're higher than Chromes then not for me! Cheers Gareth
8. Brand new in the pack. Nickelwound For 33" - 35" scale basses (ball end to taper is 37.5" I believe) 045 - 065 - 085 - 105 - 130 Low B is not tapered Really nice, not too tight strings. £25 posted in the UK.
9. What sort of tension are these strings, compared to say GHS Precision Flats, Pyramid Golds, or La Bella nylon flats.
10. La Bella nylon flats have been my go to string on fretless for a long time, but I'm quite enjoying Newtone Platinum nickel coated round cores at the moment.
11. Franz Sirius. I've owned a lot of fretless basses, but this one is the best by some way.
12. Thanks all, very useful stuff here.
13.
I'm not sure I'm allowed yet .
Well that's just teasing then
14. Pics?
15. Hello folks My daughter is just starting A Level Music Tech, with a view to going on to uni to study something similar - she has her eye on Music and Sound Recording at York at the moment. She's been told to think about getting a Macbook running Logic Pro, but new prices are crazy, so I was wondering which older models folk would recommend, and where decent used Macs might be found? Condition is less important than performance in this instance. Should add that I work in a Uni myself and qualify for the Apple discount, but even then a new basic Pro is coming in at £1124 and an Air at £854! Thanks Gareth
16.
Not sure that 3 tubes constitutes an amplifier? Should probably be listed in the other stuff for sale forum.
My bad.
17. New old stock from Karltone. Cost me £9.85 each, I'd like to sell all three as a job lot for £22. The JJ ECC83s (12AX7) is a high gain preamp double triode valve. Thanks to its design it performs with very low noise and microphonics. Harmonically rich with a detailed low end and a warm high end. Premium Tested on specialised digital and analogue testing equipment by Karltone as follows Gain (A) Transconductance (gm) Noise (dbv) Microphonics Emission Quality Grid Leakage Shorts Test results are provided on the box
18. Once again, I have assembled a pedal board only to decide I don't really do pedal boards, so now the cabling is the last thing I have left to sell Here we have a total of 87cm (2.8ft) or Monorail cable and seven jack plugs. The made up leads are 15, 8 and 6 cm long (that's the cable length between the jacks) and also 28, 21 and 9 cm lengths of unused cable. I paid £50 for all of this. Yours for £40 posted Recorded Delivery. Thanks Gareth
19. Very nice. I have the combo version of this head (Caron K1 Combo) and it's superb. The headroom is just insane. Great rig, shame you have to sell. Whoever buys this won't be disappointed.
20. Hmm, minefield. I'd go LaBella or GHS personally, depends if you like high tension or not.
21. Flats are a no brainer, and they last ages, so it's a win-win in this situation
22.
ACS are pretty good.
Agree 100%, they really are just like turning everything down.
23.
Sorry, having reread my post, it was badly worded! I meant the combination of Ninja head and 2x12 Ninja cab... just seen that they do a little combo too!
Ah right, thought I’d missed a combo there! That should sound immense. The Ninja head is the same pre and power amp unit as the new Caron combo I own, apart from no VLE on the Caron.
