1. I sold a gig bag to Neil. Very smooth deal and I'd be more than happy to deal with him again

3. How about this?

I sold a bag to Tony. A simple, straightforward transaction with good comms and lots of BC love all round. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
5. Taking shape Chestnut top being glued on tomorrow. Matching headstock
6.
Brilliant, thank you. Apologies I missed your thread. I presume you've used it with your Markbass Traveler 123 cab? That's a bit more of a serious beast than I'll be using (my dream cab is a MArkbass NY 4x6, but budget dictates otherwise.) Cheers Thomas
Hi Thomas A pleasure to help. Yes, the Nano into the Traveler 123 is top notch. Amazing cab, and the volume it puts out at 8 ohms is more than enough for me Cheers gareth
7. I asked the same question a month ago (thread here). Bought one as a backup and it's excellent.
8. Slight change of plan. We're now using a second matched top as a centre block, as the wood on the outside edges of the original top weren't stable enough to work.
9. My pleasure. If you hold down the G string at the first fret and again at the end of the neck (or where the neck joins the body) you create a straight line, which you can then sight down to see if there's any relief.
10. I find this normally happens when there isn't enough relief in the neck, which means more of the string comes into contact with the fingerboard than you want. A tiny bit more relief should sort it.
11. Looks like it is still 10%
12.
I got one too... very convincing tone. I am pretty shure that it covers any tones I need.
Excellent, let's see it!
13. I have a few gig bags for sale. They are all in good to very good condition. Thomann Producer Backpack Loads of pockets and space for stuff. Hardly used. Not the best quality, but it will last for some time I'd think These are £29 new from Thomann. I'd like £20 posted. Heistercamp Canvas and Leather Messenger Bag Brand new and never used. Not a gig bag as such, but very nice nonetheless. £30 posted. SOLD Gator GMiX 1212 Unused. One main 12x12 internal compartment and a smaller pocket for cables on the outside. These are £25 new. I'd like £15 posted. SOLD Gator GP66 Double Bass Drum Pedal Bag I've used this as a bag to just chuck general leads, cables, gaffa etc. in, It's in good but used condition. These are £28 new. I'd like £15 posted. SOLD
14.
With a double bass?
Yep. About 40% of the band's set has me on upright.
15. I have the new Markbass CMD Super Combo K1 - 1k watts, 3 way speaker system with flat frequency response. Superb.
16. The Sleeve is a good bag, with thick padding all around. However, I would say the Gator is a more substantial bag all round. The inside has a nice big cushion for the bass to sit on. The Sleeve has a thinner sponge pad. Still sufficient for most bumps I'm sure.
17. My pleasure If you're using Fenders then the Sleeve will be fine. It just comes down to how much stuff you want to carry in the gig bag along with your bass.
18. The Sleeve is very nice, I've owned two, but you can get the Gator ProGo for under £100, which has better neck protection (if your bass has an angled headstock I would not recommend the sleeve) and way more storage.
19.
My 500W Markbass AC 121 Lite combo is, however, "lite" at just 35 lbs...
Yes, love the K1 To note there's a used AC121 in Bass Direct at the moment at £599. Could be just the ticket?
20. I would recommend a used Roland TD kit off eBay or Gumtree. We picked up a TD6 for my son and it cost just £130, so we added a mesh snare, decent hi hat and an amp for less than an entry level unit would cost new. You just have to bide your time and be willing to collect.
