1.
chaps, that's 10 inches radius, not degrees.
My bad. I knew that, it's just post New Year haze descending
2. I had an HD210 and loved everything about it apart from the weight. If it had been 10lbs lighter I'd still be using it.
3.
How can you guarantee that your print out is accurate though? IME all consumer level printers are between 1 and 2% off when it comes to linear accuracy.
There's a scale on the page, so you adjust print size until it matches that. I just printed the page on my printer at work and it was a perfect match.
4. An easy way is to download and print out some radius guides. The Jerzy Drozd setup guide has some in the appendices. Just make sure you print them out accurately. EDIT: Just found it, it's 10 degrees
5. Bump for another price drop, but I really can't go any lower than this. It's 30% off a brand new bass that is absolutely mint.
6. Greg has just relieved me of a Tecamp cab. Total gent, great communication, and even paid up front. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. BC recommended
7. I sold a set of strap locks to Gary. It was a smooth deal done with the minimum of fuss. Happy to deal with him again.
8. I was just talking with Barrie about Vic last night. He was such a lovely, gentle guy. Great player. Always there with a smile, a chat, and a cup of coffee whenever I went in to Bass Gear. I'll miss him.
9.
Where are you located please?
Hello, I'm in Hampshire.
10.
Oh no.......
Don't worry Brian. I love the amp, just fancy the extra features the plus offer.
11. Just picked this up from Skinner (his sale thread is here), but once again I've decided that FX units are really not for me. When will I learn... £95 posted to your door. I will add in a brand new PSU as well.
12.
My pair - both short scale
Two beauties, but I really like the fretless.....
13. I bought a pedal from Sean. Fantastic comms and beautifully wrapped. Very happy to deal with him again.
14. Planning to upgrade to the 800+, as being a fretless player the individual gain controls for the mids would be a lovely thing to have. Handmade in California, the amp puts out 800 Watts @ 4/2 Ohms, or 400 Watts @ 8 Ohms. Tone shaping is handled by a 4 band EQ Section comprised of BASS, LOW MID, HIGH MID and TREBLE Controls. There is also a DEEP switch, that adds a little boost at 50Hz, and a VOICING control which allows fine-tuning of your sound from a more “flat” response to a radically scooped midrange sound with the lows and highs boosted. Weight: 5lb, 2.6kg Balanced XLR Line Out with Pre/Post, Line/Mic & Ground Lift Switches Active/pAssive switch Mute switch Headphone Output Auxiliary Input Protection & Limit LED Indicators 2 Speakon Speaker Output Jacks Fan Cooled This amp has been lightly rehearsed and never gigged. It's in mint condition (apart from some light scratches on the bottom and a tiny nick on one corner of the front panel - no idea how they got there!), comes with the gig bag, and ships in the original box. £[s]749[/s] [s]725[/s] 700 couriered to your door in the UK. Add £22 for EU shipping. Save £145 on new. No trades, price is firm. Thanks for looking. Gareth
15.
Cheap = crap Best quality/price ratio is our very own OBBM, aka RockWire cables.
This, many times over
16. Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wckGOCu-Omc
17. Lots of good suggestions here, but as always there really is no "best" because we all have different tastes, needs and budgets. I play fretless around 95% of the time, and I have owned a lot of very nice examples over the years such as a factory fretless 71P, Veillette Archtop, Status S2, Wal, Ken Smith and an ACG. But, the one that speaks to me the most is without doubt the one I own now - the Franz Sirius. Not cheap mind
18.
That would be for me to know and you to guess.
Is it the one we talked about previously? If so, I want to try!!!!!
