1. Gave it a run tonight, just 150 watts at 8 ohms gave out loads of volume. Perfect back up/rehearsal/small gig amp
 2.
I believe the 1000 is actually two times 500. I am not sure what that means in reality but it makes me prefer the 900 which is one time 900.
You can run the 1000 as 2 x 500 or 1 x 1000 in bridge mode.
 3. I sold a combo to Fraser. It was a very easy transaction from start to finish, and I would happily deal with him again
 4.
I've gigged one and it is more than adequate through my Barefaced SIX10. I usually use a Mesa 400+ or a Laney Nexus and it was able to match them in volume however compared to big valve monsters it's like alcohol-free beer. I use the Nano as a gigbag backup in case the real amps have issues. It came in useful one time and did a splendid job. The band is a loud rock covers band.
Thanks for that. Yes, my aim to use it for rehearsals and small gigs, but mainly as a backup.
 5. Most recent rig was a Mesa Subway and Breg AE201, so not exactly a slouchy setup. The band love it and have said it's like a reference monitor. You get all the nuances of the fretless and woodiness of the upright in a loud, punchy package. I can't remember the last time a member of the audience commented on my sound though!
 6.
Hey walbassist, I'm guessing you have tried the K1 out in anger at least a couple of times now - you still happy with this beast? How does it compare to your previous rigs?
I love it. It sounds fantastic. Loud as you like, wonderfully balanced tone. As we've said before, very flat response so it's all about the tone of your bass. I had a bit of a windfall a couple of weeks ago so got the matching Traveler cab as well. Couldn't resist
 7.
That's pretty much exactly what i had imagined... This seems discontinued though? Clearly due to lack of options there can't be a market for it!
These are still in production in the US. I have the combo and asked the UK dealer about the 2x10 - they quoted £330 to import one. It's actually a very versatile combo.
 8. Carvin MB10 has a matching 2x10.
 9.
It can keep up with a loud metal band rehearsal played through a 4ohm STD-104HR but it sounds like it's working fairly hard to do it. I'd say it's similar in output to a GK MB200 through the same cab, but that obviously has a bit of baked-in grind to it when it gets near to full volume where the Nano stays quite clean. It was a bit of an impulse purchase and I haven't played it a great deal or for a little while, but my lasting impression was that its gig-fitness probably depends more on the amount of serious low-end you want it to produce than the volume you want it to achieve.
That's very useful, thanks. It should be fine for my current setup then, based on the above comments
 10. Can anyone advise what sort of volume this amp can put out? Obviously there are a number of factors involved in how "loud" the amp can get, but does it follow the Markbass trend of getting big pretty quickly?
 11. Side dots only for me. Anything else just confuses.... But people should go with what works for them.
 12. These are superb cabs. I tried one when Brian had them and was astonished at the depth of tone from something so small. Two must sound amazing. GLWTS
 13.
I saw this and thought 'genius' but it does not work with a CMD121P and a NYC 121P. If the CMD is underneath the wedge is on top of the plastic handle and the cab contact is over the jack socket, if the other way around the wedge is over the metal handle of the NYC so does not grip.
Ah, okay. At least I tried!
 14.
What Are the tone differences between them? I've tried the black which are very warm and I've read the whites are brighter! Any idea where the copper and gold fit in? Cheers
Yes, I think the order is black/copper/gold/white from mellow to bright. I use whites on fretted basses and coppper on fretless.
 15.
How stable are the Markbass angle stands do you think? I'd be a bit sad if my CMD121P fell off !
The stand has velcro on the top, so the combo would be secured to that via the carpet covering it has. The underside doesn't have velcro but is weighted, so I guess it could fall over if you gave it a good push.
 16.
I like that Markbass leaning velcro stand jobber - but I'm not sure how it would help me with the 2nd box i.e. the one that sits on top.
You could put the extension cab flat on the floor and then use the mark stand between the two, so you just angle the combo. I found a picture here, although admittedly it's using the 121H underneath.
 17. How about a Mark Stand?
 18. I've just taken delivery of a Mark Stand from Rob, and I have to say the transaction couldn't have been easier. Great comms and speedy posting, lovely. And I have to say, for something that is pretty much indestructible it was wrapped in a serious amount of bubble wrap! Cheers Rob
 19. La Bella make nylon tapewounds in many different flavours (black, gold, copper and white) that are available in 50/65/85/105.
 20.
When are you using this for a gig for the first time with your band or have you already?
Gigging with it next weekend Al... can't wait
 21. Totally loving this amp. I'm leaving the EQ flat and it just gives such a true tone. It's very articulate. The lows are full and rounded but not boomy or overpowering, the mids are smooth and present, while the top end is clear and not at all harsh. A very well-rounded one cab solution.
 22. Nice Nick. Relieved it's not unlined otherwise I'd be popping a mint green 'plate and tug bar on it! Good luck with the sale.
 23.
Thanks - that means the picture I pulled off the web I use as my phone wallpaper has a custom placement
Probably one of my old basses if they are positioned like this
