1. I feel your pain. I took Thursday off last week to wait for PF to deliver. They never turned up, and when I rang in the evening they said "drivers learning the route, didn't deliver 24 items"! I asked them to hold the bass at the depot, which they said they would. Next morning I check PF website nice and early.... "out for delivery"! So I ended up having to take two days off work due to PF's incompetence! Supportive rant over!
2.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. What are you looking to replace them with?
Not sure yet, probably a combo. I just don't need this much cabinetry.....
3. Up for sale is ONE mint condition Tecamp 115XS Classic cab. New in December 2015, and one of the last two made by Tecamp (I have sold the other), it has been gigged very lightly and is in pretty much MINT condition. Small in size, but big in volume, it is rear ported and come with a metal bar that allows you to tilt the cabs back at 45 degrees. As well as the 15" driver, the addition of 4" driver means the cab has a lovely sweetness that gives it just the right amount of warm top end without it ever getting brittle or harsh. Specification: Speaker: 1 x 15" Ceramic Tweeter: 4" CTM1 cone (switchable full/half/off) Power Handling: 400 W RMS Impedance: each cab is 4 ohms Two Speakon® combo connectors Dimensions: (W x H x D): 44 cm x 54 cm x 35 cm / 17.4" x 21.1" x 13.8" Weight: 15kg / 33lbs It comes with the very nice Tecamp padded cover. New, these were 748 euros (£600) including the soft covers. I am asking £350 and am happy to drive within an hour of Basingstoke or Portsmouth to do the deal, but can try and source boxes and post too! Thanks for looking Gareth
4.
Didn't you just sell one?
No, I had the version with eq, not just the power Something like this is what I'm after.
5.
Ok - so I'm biased but BassGear is in Twyford which isn't very far from Hampshire at all and has a big range of amps and two demo rooms
I'm not biased, but would also recommend Bass Gear. Easier to get to as well!
6. It'll do the job well enough, although I'm sure someone will be along to recommend linseed oil or some other in due course. I would imagine the board isn't so badly eaten up that it needs any remedial work yet.
7. Somebody is going to be very happy Shame it isn't me
8. Argh, dream bass! Somebody buy my ACG!!!
9. Sensible offers welcome. I'd also be interested in MXR compressor, chorus or envelope filter pedals in PX.
10. I put my basses in Mono Sleeves. Plenty padded enough for the use you describe above. The Vertigo is a nice bag too and would probably fit behind the seats as well, but I think the M80 would be too wide. Great bags, very well made.
11. I have to say the Mk III body shape is pretty much the perfect design of any bass for me. That walnut in particular looks amazeballs
12. I've used Dunlops for years and never had a problem. I much prefer them to Schaller. Once saw a '68 Les Paul without straplocks hit the ground when it came off a strap. It wasn't pretty
13.
It's not terrible by any means. I wouldn't buy it, but I've heard an awful lot worse.
+1. I didn't like the SR at the time, but have come to appreciate them over the years, bit like Duran Duran..... I can see it going down a storm at gigs though.
14. Ben bought an ACG off me. He was a total gent and a pleasure to deal with, and I'd happily transact with him again
15. I sold a set of strings to Andy. The sale was as smooth as the flats he bought!
16. I'm guessing it's this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEmESOsn5yQ
17.
Has anyone seen/played the 'Joker' model by these guys? I've seen a video, but it's of a 30" scale...have they done a 34" version?
I'm in discussion with Adrian about a Joker at the moment. I asked him that very question, and he said the longest scale he can do for that model is 32".
18.
Edit: never mind, just read the ad properly!
