1. Just a month old, these GB707 tuners have been replaced by the Res O Lite versions on my Franz. They are in mint condition. Colour is a solid black. They look like this: £40 posted gets them to your door.
2. Just fitted Gotoh Resolites tuners and shaved a quarter of a pound off the total weight of the bass. It's now a very lovely 8lb 6oz, or 3.8kg in new money
3.
Yes to both! That particular section is so flexible, I wish they had a couple of slots for it as I'd set one as a clean octaver and one as a fuzzy filter, and not have to change the settings live. The tracking on the octaver is terrific. Cheers Rick
Excellent, thanks Rick
4. This looks like a great unit. A question I have, to those that own one, is can you get "clean" octaver and fuzz sounds out of it, or do they all end up sounding like 80s synths or envelope filters? Cheers Gareth
5. A whole turn is quite a lot! Have you let the neck settle for a day or two at this lower tension? Where exactly does the e string rattle? It sounds like you may need to raise the action a bit to compensate for the thicker gauge and lower tension. I use white nylons too and find I have to set the low E and B a touch higher than normal to compensate for this.
6. That's a lovely example of a real classic combo. I had one of these, back in the late 80s, as my first proper amp. Brilliant amp at an amazing price.
7.
You keeping the 'Bona'?
Not selling at the moment Brian
8.
I never thought I'd see the day....
This
9. Superb cabs these. Very articulate and not at all flabby. I had one back in the day and often used it on its own, it sounded that good. £150 is silly money.

11. Will the Nano boards come with some spare tape to put on the pedal?
12. I hope he keeps the word "brill" in the ad
13. Hello Mark, and welcome to Basschat.
14. My new Franz is chambered
15. These are fabulous basses. Really light, well balanced, sustain and TONE.
16. Nordstrand would be my guess, probably this one... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Nordstrand_Nordy_NJ5_Blue_2011_files/nordfronttop.jpg
17. I like the look of the M Bass 500. I like the price even more!
18.
Ashdown Retroglide??
You beat me to it! Seems the obvious choice, or the Ashdown Mark King/JJ Brunel head if you want non-digital?
19. A crazy good deal
20.
At least it wasn't the G...
You beat me to it...
21. If anyone is interested, "flat" on a Puma is everything at noon apart from bass cut to nearly 11, and hi mids boosted to nearly 1.
22. Couldn't agree more. I have a Bonafide (basically two Puma 500s in one casing) and a 300. Fab amps.
23. When I started on 5s I found just playing a walking bass line over and over really helped, as instead of shifting up you can drop down without shifting hand position.
24.
or "polishing your chops"....
I've heard of marbled meat, but.... You'll be saying it makes you "play like butter" next Owen
25. Put a piece of dowel, that fits the hole well, in from the other side and tap out gently with a hammer.
