1.
Yes it must have given a pretty unique tone based on where it sits... not quite as burpy but with more fundamental than a solo'd bridge pup I would imagine? Isn't that where the pick up was on the pro1 and pro1e?
Pro 1 pickups were a lot more "P" position than that bass. I think your description of the tone is a good one though.
2.
Have you played one with the pickup in that position?
I have, as that bass was mine! It actually sounded really good, and ergonomically was very comfortable to play, but I can't for the life of me remember how the control knobs were configured, given it was a 1 pickup bass !!! I sold it to a guy in Italy. Never seen another like it. Cheers Gareth PS Trev, belated welcome to Basschat!
3.
I like singlecuts, but the Ken Smith is 'meh'
+1 I'm afraid, and I like Smith basses a lot
4. Wow, wow, wow and wow I shouldn't ask how heavy the 78 is, but I will....
5. How does this compare to the Tonehammer? Is it super crisp and clean?
6. Does it have a case? What's the weight and balance like?
7.
Are you getting another 100 or something else?
Just a humble CTM30 Mert, but I've always loved the Drophead and would have pushed the boat out a bit more for it!
8. If I hadn't ordered a CTM from Ashdown a few weeks back I would have bought this when it first appeared
9. I bought a speaker lead from John. He emailed me a picture to check it was what I wanted (it was) and it arrived the day after I paid for it. Excellent
10. I've always wanted one of these, but sadly I have no spare cash at the moment How wide is the head, as a matter of interest?
11.
I used the 15PL and the Mini 8 +L at the last gig. Tolex covered as opposed to an Epoxy paint. Light with bite!
That's a very stealthy looking rig Brian!
12. The TKS cabs have been a revelation to me. No need to be concerned about the lack of tweeter as there's plenty of top end there.
13. I sold some strings to Mike. A pleasure to deal with all through the process.

GILLY

I bought Will's Tonehammer 500 and the transaction was as smooth as a flatwound string. Great comms, A1 packaging - perfect. Deal with confidence.
15. I sold an amp to John. He was a pleasure to deal with and I would happily transact with him again.
16. Indonesia now, final assembly still in the US though.
17. I have a number of vintage valves for sale. They are all in working order as I have used them on a regular basis. Serial numbers/dates will follow. Mullard CV4004/M8137 £75.00 The daddy. 18.
Not having the original boxes or good enough packaging i'd be too worried they might get damaged as they are in virtualy new condition. I was hoping that a buyer could be found locally who could pick them up or meet me within reason. I think you might be a bit too far for that though.
Hi Dave No worries at all, I totally understand. GLWTS. Gareth
