Three sets of new and unused GHS Brite Flats. Nickel-Iron alloy Groundwound construction (i.e. a roundwound ground smooth so feels more like a flat) Hex core 38" from ball end to blue silks Hard to find in the UK as a 5 string set, these are BNIB and £130 for the three, or £45 per single set. Pictures are a bit yellow for some reason.

This was bought in May and has housed my Katana 500 head ever since, but I've decided to use a different bag going forward. It's in excellent condition. All the Boss blurb is here.

I've had these a while, using them in various amps with valve preamp stages, but my move away from such amps means they are now surplus: Mullard ECC83 - code B6B3 means made in Blackburn, third week of February in either 1956, 1966 or 1976 = £50 Mullard ECC83 - (code backward3)91 means made in Chelmsford for Mullard by Marconi, but not sure how to date the rest = £50 Mullard ECC81 - no code that I can see = £25 Caveat Emptor: I have tested them in my Demeter amp and they are all working fine at time of writing, but as always with old valves be aware they can fail at any time. Please do bear that in mind before you buy.

DR PURE BLUES SOLD, JUST THE GHS BRITE FLATS LEFT Trying out different strings on my new Franz bass to determine the best set. Both are cut for a 3 over 2 headstock. The Brite Flats are 38" long from ball end to silk, while the DRs are 37 3/4". The DRs were on the bass a day, but I quickly realised they are too low tension for my taste. The Brite Flats are a combination of the EADG from a Bass Centre Elites set (the exact same string, just with silks at each ends - although I removed the silks from the ball end as they didn't fit through the body ferrules) and a low B from GHS, which is 38" so the same as the rest of the set. Both sets are 45/65/85/105/130 Both sets for £50 or £25 the Brite Flats and £35 the DRs. Thanks for looking. DR Pure Blues GHS Brite Flats

These are basically GHS Brite Flats (i.e. groundwound nickel roundwounds) but with a shorter 37” B string (the rest are all 38” from ball end to silk). BNIB, these are £30 posted, which saves a fiver plus postage buying from the Bass Centre.
