  1. Never fitted. I think they fit 6mm threads. TWO NOW SOLD, SO NOW £14 POSTED THE FOUR Price includes postage.
  2. I've had these a while, using them in various amps with valve preamp stages, but my move away from such amps means they are now surplus: Mullard ECC83 - code B6B3 means made in Blackburn, third week of February in either 1956, 1966 or 1976 = £50 Mullard ECC83 - (code backward3)91 means made in Chelmsford for Mullard by Marconi, but not sure how to date the rest = £50 Mullard ECC81 - no code that I can see = £25 Caveat Emptor: I have tested them in my Demeter amp and they are all working fine at time of writing, but as always with old valves be aware they can fail at any time. Please do bear that in mind before you buy.
  3. This was bought in May and has housed my Katana 500 head ever since, but I've decided to use a different bag going forward. It's in excellent condition. All the Boss blurb is here.
  4. First gig with these last Friday and I am very happy with them. Really clear articulation and punch to each note, and the strings are a lovely tension even at this gauge. I never thought I'd like groundwounds after my experience with D'Addario half rounds strings, but these are terrific.
  5. You know the drill. Mint condition and only selling as I mainly use my onboard battery to power everything. £20 posted in the UK.
  6. I'm very lucky to say already have it. My Franz Sirius DC, which features a chestnut top from a tree that came down in my parents garden.
  7. As above. Does anyone make a pedal power supply like the Boss PSA-230 that has a very long cable? The Boss is only 2m long, which means extension leads on the stage....
  8. Hello Dave It's a Sire P8. Absolutely top notch bass! I swapped out the pearl white scratchplate for a tort one and added a tug bar for old school vibes. Also put Hipshot tuners on it.
  9. Alton Beer Festival, 2-300 people enjoying some lovely real ales. Nice vibe with lots of people singing along but only a handful dancing. New songs went down very well; REM's "The One I Love" and Travis' "Why does it always rain on me". Good run for my still relatively new Boss Katana 500, which sounded glorious and was proper loud. Cab is my FMC 1210UL from Germany. Basses are a Sire P8 and my trusty Franz Bassguitars Sirius DC.
  10. Rare in the UK, I brought this in direct from Access Bags in the USA; it was expensive! All the blurb is here, and there's a useful video here. You can fit a load of stuff in it. Great for pedals, leads, stands etc. This has been my go to gig bag for the last couple of years, but as I haven't played that many gigs it's in excellent condition! Rugged 1200 denier nylon exterior, heavy-duty zippers and pulls, metal clasps and hardware Adjustable and removable sling-style shoulder strap, rugged, reinforced, riveted, molded carry handle Main interior area is fully customizable, with a removable, padded tray and five adjustable dividers which are secured with heavy-duty hook and loop fasteners. Main interior size with all inserts removed is: 11-5/8″ x 11″ x 5-1/2″ (295mm x 280mm x 140mm) Upper-front zippered pocket is padded and lined with soft, short-nap plush and has a single area sized: 8-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ x 1-12″ (222mm x 70mm x 38mm) Lower-front zippered pocket has multiple sleeves and pouches for phones, wallets, keys and other medium sized items. General interior area is: 8-3/4″ x 6-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ (222mm x 171mm x 38mm) Side zippered pockets are padded and lined with 300 denier rip-stop nylon, have external velcro-closed slip pockets. Internal area of each is: 9-3/4″ x 6-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (248mm x 165mm x 38mm) Exterior dimensions: 9″ x 14-1/2″ x 13″ (229mm x 368mm x 330mm) Empty weight: 5 pounds (2.3kg) Postage would be extra, using a 48 hour tracked service. Front documents pocket and smaller pocket for a mic or somesuch. The two sidepockets are large enough to hold two coiled instrument cables, or whatever else you want to put in them. Removable tray. The inside of the lid has space for pens, documents, business cards etc. Removable panel under the tray. You can also remove this to make a very large space (I actually have this panel removed at the moment so I can keep my Boss Katana head in it, plus the mains lead and speaker cable). You can see at the bottom of the picture there is also a sleeve for stowing documents or a cable or two in as well. Further storage. I have the two panels that came with the bag that make this space into three smaller compartments. Good for pedals. The base. As you can see, no real scuffs or damage at all. The open base gives another storage space. This where I keep my two Hercules mini stands. There's also a mesh zipper pocket in the lid.
  11. The new La Bella Super Polished strings are really good. Only £40 for a 5 string set at Bass Direct too, which is a good price these days.
