1.
They're forming a Basement Jaxx tribute act, to be called Basement Tomz ...
Bit too close to Soho for a name like that!!!
 2.
Ah yes, Will Lee's sister is Sarah Lee, hence the Macarthur Park song.....
No, don't you dare revive that one...
 3. With you Bob, there's nothing like playing the bass - in whatever situation is right for you. I've had a spring in my step all week as we got a last minute gig for Saturday night, and I'll be doing a little Sunday afternoon jam. So no glory, or big paycheck for me, just deep enjoyment
 4.
I lived in Twickenham for a year and the above quote tells you everything you need to know about it.
What's the best thing to come out of Twickenham? The train to Waterloo
 5. Hi Marc, I know Twickenham isn't in Surrey, but this Facebook page covers a lot of gigs and jams in the area: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SurreyGigs/ Bass shops - central London Wunjo on Denmark Street is fabulous. Lots of others on here love The Gallery in Camden. You have good connections into central London on the train. Have fun!
 6.
Yep great version, I posted this last year. WL does a terrific job along with an outstanding Orchestra. Love the cake at the end... Wasn't Will the voice of Ronald MacDonald many moons ago? I am sure I read that somewhere. I know he did commercial vocal sessions as well as Bass.
Sorry, didn't see that Still, lots of cheesy fun so no harm in sticking it up again
 7. I know this is a huge Marmite song around here - but here it is in all its camp glory with Will Lee putting in a pretty decent vocal performance http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2015/05/20/will-lee-with-the-cbs-orchestra-macarthur-park/
 8.
70's - Disco. Bloody awful! ;-) However glam rock, punk and post-punk were fantastic!
I'll take two of those, but punk left me cold (love lots of post-punk) - horses for courses etc.
 9. Yes you will. There is a calculator online somewhere.
 10.
the World needs this!
Come to think of it, have Wilma and Frida ever been seen in the same room?
 11.
A Flinstones themed [s]AC~DC[/s] Abba tribute called [s]AC~BC[/s] Abba-Daba-Doo!
12.
Also, ever noticed that an awful lot of pro players with road crew still favour heavy valve/ big cab rigs? Just sayin....
Is that because it is what is expected and looks right?
 13. I had one of the early Yamaha class D amps with a matching 110. Used to do a jam night with a drummer with a reputation for being loud and never had a problem. The pub had a horrible Harte rig with a 115 and 410, which the landlady had put strict instructions on as to how far up the volume could go. One night she came storming up to the stage to turn it down and then saw what I was playing through. She didn't believe her ears, laughed, and let me get on with it
 14. Ah, the 70's, when men were men, wore double denim, Hi Karate and chest wigs, and proved their macho credentials by driving after 8 pints of Red Barrel, beating the wife and strapping on the heaviest Precision they can lay their hands on. Yes, we've all become wimps fortunately
 15. Bi Jovi - disappointingly not transgender!
 16. Pre tribute bands really but there was the Sid Presley Experience that took influence from all three of those artists.
 17. I've always fancied the idea of a Yiddish Eagles tribute the Shmeagles. And turning the Chippies on their heads, could The Electricians be a tribute to Sparks?
 18. Any drummers on here tried on of these?http://www.luglock.com/beat_bug.htm
 19. 9 in the past across 4 bands, none now, and one I've never heard of! Edit, just Googled it, know it but dodn't know the title, and never played it.
 20.
Well I'm sure I have no idea what you bah doo bah wee ooooo mean.
21.
Could be the humidity.
This. I've got a gig on Friday but am away with work for a few days so no practice. My fingers have gone as soft as a very soft thing with this warm weather. Will be resorting to surgical spirit and sticking some picks in my pocket!
 22. Looks like a nice Japanese neck with a custom body - those controls??? and the bridge seems a long way back. Have you had it apart - anything in the neck pocket? Happy to have a look, and get some better pictures up for the more expert members on here - I'm only down the road from you.
