Yes, over 7000 it does start to fade, but my point was, contrary to your statement, that treble seems louder than mid to me. Between 2000 and say 300 there was no real noticeable difference, but over 2000 up to 7000 it seemed to increase substantially.

[/quote] Just tried that link, but it seems to go against your third sentence, as I found around 7000 Hz by far the loudest. almost painful at a volume where the mid range sounded pretty quiet.

You mention the .tk , but this, and the lack of information in the about section doesn't give anyone a clue where you are based until you go to the gigs page. I'd seriously think about getting a UK domain and flagging up your locality.

Take the s out of https for embedding. Funny, and I'm not tribute band bashing here, but to me there is something wrong with these guys. It is almost like it is so polished and finely honed that they have sucked any life out of the performance. I'll rephrase that, as I still can't quite put my finger on it. It is as if they are so good that you really should be seeing the Eagles standing there. and the fact that you aren't is a bit, well, wrong really!

It was the fact that the holes match when straight, and when not straight - interesting how these tolerances work.

Which means that the £700 secondhand price is still 40% off the new price, which seems fair.

And finally for now, the oiled neck - interesting wood - it almost looks bruised - I have stripped, sanded and polished, and have decided it must be the natural finish, and possibly why it was chosen for a painted finish:

Decided to bolt it all together to see how it is coming along. Bit of a shock first time, in that the beck fitted the pocket very poorly. Took it back off and shimmed either side, top with two strips of cereal packet, bottom with one. This seemed to line it up much better, and then when I screwed it back on it was much better. Strange, as it was still using all the original holes. Still need to do all the electrics, and get a new nut - the old one is a bit grotty.
