I've got the baby of the family, the BX500 and love it! Can't imagine how loud the bigger ones must be. Great warm, clean sound, easy to find your right tone and loads of control to tweak from gig to gig.

Whereabouts in Cornwall - I don't have any contact details, but the head of music at Cornwall College nr Penzance is an amazing player and plays in various combos. (Long story why I know this, I have nothing to do with the guy or the area)!!

[/quote] Hi Bill, If I can borrow this thread for a moment, if you are using good quality leads does the length make any difference - just thinking the lower cab will need a long lead, whereas if you daisy chain you can use two shorter leads? Possibly get some insight to the more general things that get discussed on here - image being one (including the use of specific basses for that reason), there are probably some crackers Pro/Name bassists could add to the Strange Things People Say To You At Gigs thread. Not sure what value they would be on here on the gear front though, as they are playing in such a different setting from most.
