Spandau Ballet (yes, I know it is dance, but it had to have often very specific music written for it).
And, whilst on a classical tangent, Renaissance.
Very early 80's Santana at the Royal Albert Hall. Endless back to audience, down on one knee noodling. At one point, the whole band except drums and three percussionists left the stage. These 4 raised th eroof for five minutes. When Carlos came back out my mate looked at me and said it isn't going to get any better now is it? I agreed, and off we went.
Live Aid - really wasn't bothered with the finale mob singalong, decided getting on the tube before the rest of Wembley made a lot more sense.
Mungo Jerry's In the Summertime should be obsolete by now - 'if her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal. If her daddy's poor then do what you feel. Plus of course - 'have a drink, have a drive'.
I know that the company are concentrating on their Colorsound fx pedals mail order, but if anyone wants to visit the shop when everything reopens, they are in what is still called Carousel Music in Haywards Heath. Realy close to the station, and probably 45/50 minutes on a good run from Victoria (also on slower line from Kings Cross Thameslink).
Yes, it has been mentioned, but some time back. They are just down the road from me in Sussex now, but bit of an odd set up (taken over a very old school local music shop), and haven't been able to visit for obvious reasons.
Finally got a future project, with plenty of homework to do. Pleased to say, my ability to learn lines, and in a much different style, is really improved. Also, playing on round wounds, the callouses are building up!
This thread has been enlightening so far for this very reason. I feel bad, as I really appreciate the input, but very little has hit the mark for me yet.
