  1. Hope it wasn't this one: Bought off Ebay as a project. I did a lot of restoration to it but ended up parting it out.
  2. I must admit, I preferred Farrow & Ball's earlier work.
  3. Some great sounds going on there. Almost like they are having a bit of a jam in places. Very cool.
  4. Trying to nail the feel. The rests are as critical as the notes to get it sounding right! I think it is the extended version I posted. Not really into soloing, just want to improve my playing and widen my repertoire during this downtime.
  5. Lovely track posted by Danny Baker on Twitter with Louis Johnson on bass. Very sad loss.
  6. Just thought I'd start pushing myself while there's all this time to spare. Giving this a go - great part, great feel. A long way to go but got the basics sorted.
  7. That colour isn't even listed on the Ibanez website, so possibly a special for a particular chain?
  8. Ah, way outside my knowledge base, sorry.
  9. No he didn't. Gerard Kenny wrote the music.
  10. I had some Picatos once. Very nice until I started to feel th eedges of the windings as they lifted. Those TLs and Rotos look very odd. Not what you would expect.
  11. Probably one of the most cheery from that genre:
  12. Blimey, you have just opened up a whole genre that makes me smile - Hill Street Blues theme, Taxi (Bob James), Chuck Mangione, Sadao live at the Budokan, the list could go on and on!
  13. The ultimate must be the one being discussed here:
  14. Oh yes! Not a fan of skiing, but somehow got captivated in the late 80s by Alberto Tomba. Something very glorious and nostalgic about the theme music!
  15. Listening to, but watching at the same time, A Mighty Wind - the sort of Folk follow up to Spinal Tap. Music although all spoofed was brilliantly done, and the film although not quite as many classic moments as Tap is very funny, and very clever.
  16. If you like a bit of Flamenco gone off piste then have a listen to Omega (on Spotify). Mix of Enrique Morente's traditional Flamenco with the lyrics of Leonard Cohen and Spanish Poet Federico Lorca, plus a rock band Lagartija Nick thrown in for good measure. Very weird, but I've loved this album for a long time.
  17. When you have big boots to fill... Thanks for posting @Old Man Riva
  18. Mornin' (sorry about the seriously cheesy video, but the song is pure joy)!
  19. Couple of Lovers' Rock classics:
  20. Of course, on the 20th anniversary of his death -
  21. Great call, would have probably gone with the Sideboard Song, but Chas & Dave were instant cheer up whatever they did.
  22. Thought it was time I investigated Wilco. One upside to all this downtime!
  23. I'm an unashamed fan of great pop music. This one always puts a spring in my step.
