  1. Did one rehearsal with him, but was one of those situations where everyone had other priorities, so it didn't take off. Bump in to him at Riff Taff networking.
  2. Ooh, I raise you Pino and Steve Jordan with John Mayer, but then hey, this isn't a competition 😎
  3. Hey @Ned58 - I know your front man. May well see you around some time.
  4. Alternatively, it could be argued that Keith was indeed part of the rhythm section as a guitarist. It's not an exclusive club 😀
  5. Sly and Robbie. adding a belated video...
  6. I know their bass player position seems to be a bit of a revolving door, but the double drummers and (here) Oteil Burbidge are fantastic.
  7. Tedeschi Trucks this weekend. Very excited!
  8. Part of the problem I find is the terminology. Cover, Lesson, Instructional all seem to get picked up by Google and thrown at you when you do a search.
  9. Not sure. The main man has just finished an EP that he played bass on. Very nice that he has already commented on my lines being better 🙂 Hopefully we will do something later in the year.
  10. 10 to 12 - adrenaline has a nasty habit of making the set a lot quicker on the gig than in the rehearsal room!
  11. So sorry to hear this. If you love the bass keep it. Amp and cabs can always be replaced, but new bass may well not feel the same. Keep it to help with your focus on recovery, and all the very best with that!
  12. Yes, terrible (by a couple of contributors). I guess the silence on my thread is much better 😎
  13. Don't apologise - I think all musical related memorium threads should be in General, not Off-Topic. I've missed a few as I so rarely venture into the murky depths of OT.
  14. Loads of new original material for a new band. Really happy with my ability to learn new parts (been making up my own for last few years), and surprised myself at getting my fingers around some fairly compley bits where bass plays unison with guitar. Looking forward to first rehearsal on Tuesday.
  15. Happy to be "corrected" on the pricing if I have got this very wrong, but surprised there has been so little interest in a great (albeit weighty) piece of kit! Oh, and interesting trades also welcome (just no more amps unless it is something I can sell on slightly more easily than this one).
  16. Gulp, forgotten now. There's a mid boost switch, a coil tap push pull on one of the knobs. When the Cort website is up (can't get on at the moment) you should be able to get the full specs from there.
  17. I had one - fabulous build quality, lovely neck. The one thing I didn't get on with was the active circuit - which was designed very much with slap in mind. I'm much more a plug in a P bass and leave it type player, and the 75 just has soooo many permutations! So probably ideal.
  18. Will have to see if I can get that. Thanks.
  19. There was an amazing station in France - Radio Nostalgie that played Abba followed by Johnny Halliday followed by Little Richard followed by Edith Piaf. Probably the last time I heard Move It on the radio, three years ago on holiday! Oldies show here - Absolute, Planet Rock etc play the most limited range. It's such a disappointment.
  20. The former only by the cogniscenti - don't think it gets much of a look in on radio or non- rock & roll covers bands. The latter, well, yes, but doesn't say much does it 😁
  21. Thanks, nice potted history. And yes, great Rock & Roll band - Move It is woefully under appreciated.
  22. I thought the Ventures were big in the States and the Shadows a UK Ventures tribute act, or have I got that terribly wrong?
