A bad gig I had a couple of times is where someone who loved us from our pub gigs booked us for a party. Our mix of Dylan, Creedance and Neil Young never went down very well at multi-generation family get togethers!
If you can sit down at gigs, these are a lot of fun (and loud acoustically too) https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Ozark-Resonator-Guitar-Nickel-Plate-Brass-Engraved/ZSG
Haven't quite got around to putting this into storage, but the move is only a couple of weeks away now, so grab a tone monster bargain before it gets put away!
Fantastic Negrito
Britney Howard (Alabama Shakes)
Songhoy Blues
White Denim
and another vote for Tedeschi Trucks.
All vaguely in the Blues genre, but not old school 12 bar blues or the sort of thing you hear pub RnB bands chugging out.
But what is Smooth Jazz? Are Dave Gruisin, Eric Gale and Bob James Smooth? Is a track like Dexter Gordon's Guess I'll Hang my Tears Out to Dry Smooth ? I personally think it is all down to radio formatting. Jazz FM's Dinner Jazz anyone?😵
OK, for something completely different, Bing Crosby, Frank SInatra, Louis Armstrong - Got to be High Society. "Well you take some bass...now you're getting some place"
