  1. What @Dood says. My P is probably one of Jon's plainest builds (exactly what I wanted) but I've never for a split second thought of parting with it. Also, I emailed Jon this week for an insurance valuation (he built the bass in 2011). Jon responded within hours. Pretty good service considering I last bought from him 7 years ago!
  2. I thought this was going to be about finding guitarists with too many cabs.
  3. We're gigging at the Water Rats in a couple of weeks. Right on the edge of the congestion zone with a 4pm get in. One false move and there goes the tour profit 😄
  4. Problem with videos is that the technology has evolved so quickly that videos like Cry, and probably other classics - Peter Gabriel Sledgehammer, Thriller, Radiohead Creep, Aha (can't remember if it was Take on Me or Sun Always Shines) were groundbreaking in their day. Could probably be knocked up as part of a GCSE media studies project now!!
  5. Well known around these parts has never meant mainstream 😏
  6. That Pitchfork review was, err, interesting!
  7. HaHa - who are we supposed to be moaning about now? 😀
  8. So sad. Another great has gone.
  9. Collection only. No matter how well you pack this it will be vulnerable. I don't think any couriers insure instruments to anything like their true value. I know this will reduce your market, and thereby your price, but will save on some major hassle.
  10. 😄 You just can't control that gas can you?
  11. And today's award for finest usage of archaic language on the internet goes to @BassTractor
  12. Not exactly time to give up the day job, but hey, I'm off on tour! Would love to see some BC support along the way! http://www.solidentertainments.com/presents.htm#LADIES-OF-THE-BLUES-LONDON
  13. One of your drummers, Matt, is a good example of locking in. Solidly in time, but can play around the beat. Jammed with him once, he played a wonderful lazy groove by being behind the beat. Joy to play with.
  14. This. Saw a drummer do this at a jam night - snare, bass drum, hi-hat, and one cymbal. His comment was along the lines of "this'll sort the men from the boys".
  15. I remember him as half of Trimmer and Jenkins back in the early 80s. They were great!
  16. Because the Queen is a Gooner?!
