1. Roland Bass Cube - easily in budget & very well spoken of Plenty of choice
2.
... but nothing like the smoothness I heard the RS guitarworks superpot give my friend's guitar...
IMO your friend's guitar most likely had crap pots replaced by good quality pots - which can make all the difference & you are not making the same 'level of change' with your trials, therefore not getting what you hoped for.
3. You don't mention Ashdown? BTA300? Hybrid - Small Block 427 - all valve?
4.
For the P? I'll have a look through the for sale section. Thanks
Hi Mark - does it have to be Orange? PM coming your way. John
5.
This is still an issue i'm afraid. The problem is people are uploading full resolution images (anything above 1MB is unneccessary) without resizing them on their PC that are far bigger than they need to be. Don't be offended if your image gets deleted - resize it before uploading in the future, thanks .
If it's an ongoing problem why not limit any new images to <1MB?
6. Glue & clamp some offcuts of wood to the side of the cavity where required, when set remove clamp - drill for screws - job done carry on painting
7. That must've taken a bit of head scratching but I think you've got it sussed Hope it sounds as good & varied as you're looking for. Good luck, John

9.
I think Rich's response is perfectly understandable in view of quite a few previous sale threads where people haven't shown any respect and kept their stupid comments to themselves. The guy is trying to sell a bass why can't you beggar off somewhere else and have your fun? I doubt you'd be happy if we all played silly beggars on your third sale thread for the same bass. This is the internet though so you feel you can say anything, even when you don't know the person, it's all just a big joke eh?
Exactly +1 I've dealt with Richard & it's been a pleasure, he's one of the good guys for sure & has done nothing to deserve the way his sales threads have been abused recently. John
10. I made up a wiring harness for a special EB0 project, it was a pleasure dealing with Paul, great communication & no problems at all. Cheerz, John

14.
watch this.. these are chops.. the groove at 7.20 has got all the meat groups!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ThwuJVcyoA
All I know is - my fingers might have moved like that 30 or more years ago, but they sure as hell don't now
15. Shame Fender didn't fit it out with Flats Just for the retro-vibe
16.
What a cooooool car!! My Dad had two of 'em when I was a wee lad. Completely nothing to do with the thread, but that car needed pointing out!
Not so much as the back of my bungalow need pointing

18. 1951 Ford Stepside pickup truck & Fender '51 Ri P-bass
19. Paloma Faith for me thanks move over Andrea or room for two?
20. Funny you asked I was just thinking the other day, one of my first cars was my Mum's old Austin A35 in Old English White, a good match for my Fender '57 AV P-bass in White Blonde. Edit: Snap with stingraypete's acoustic
21. Could be the neck angle or the Badass ain't lined up right but the E string position on the neck looks bad from here Edit: It's been around before - I don't know if it's the same seller or not
22.
Sorry i know this is in the wrong place but i am getting desperate and nobody has answered it in the correct section.
If it's worth insuring surely it's worth packing properly & not chancing it to ANY couriers
23. Jerry bought a Jazz pre-wired kit from me, great communication, instant payment, no hassle & a real pleasure to deal with. Cheerz, John
24. More good reasons for new above ^^^^^^^ I've only bought 1 brand new & it was because no decent examples at what I thought a reasonable 2nd hand price came along in the 6 months I was looking for one, also the dreaded VAT increase in January swayed me to get in early. Most of all though because I wanted a very specific model, that I will only buy once & I wanted it to be right! Factory fresh & untouched 'as much as possible'. I found exactly what I wanted - Fender American Vintage '57 Precision, White Blonde - at £200 less than most places so I pressed the button. I would have liked to walk into a shop, slapped my wedge on the counter & said 'I want that one' but none of the shops around here had or could get what I wanted at the time. Not to mention it was a special treat - present to myself for my 60th birthday
25. So tempting not seen one like it before
