Guitar Dater Project says, serial # V015986 :- "Guitar Info This guitar is from the U.S. Vintage Series made at the Corona Plant (Fender), USA in the Year(s): Cannot be determined from serial number, however you can consult this chart showing the corelation between serial numbers and dates found on the neck Fender MIA RI Serial Number vs. Neck Date" Also: Fender: Corona Corona factory was opened in 1985, Corona California, with major guitar production starting in 1987. With the addition of a custom shop in 1987 the plant currently employs about 700 workers. Apart from general and Custom Shop Fender instruments and amplifiers, it also encompasses Guild acoustic & electric guitars. How does the seller reckon it's a Fullerton? Let alone a '84 So you pays your money & takes your chances, unless you get to That London & have a good look

I was selling an outboard motor for £30, (about 20 years ago), when the guy came to see it he wanted it but said he only had £20 - which I refused. He said "hang on I'll see what I've got in the car", he came back with a very expensive Williams torque wrench to which I said yeah I like that, then he rumaged in his car again & came out with a lovely pair of Greencat 10x50 binoculars, leather case too. I said yep OK deal, thinking either of the items he was offering were of greater value than the old outboard & I was on a winner. Imagine my suprise when he put the motor in his car boot, he came back & gave me the £20 as well! I was speechless, he went away happy & I've still got the torque wrench & the binos but I bet the outboard died years ago! Not exactly bass related but - that don't happen often

+ 1 for the ebay guy Hipshot BT 1 I got mine from there, real quick (less than 7 days) no customs no hassle & genuine article at great price. In fact I've not had a customs charge or any problem with loads of bits, strings etc. via ebay from Hong Kong, USA or EU. As said - once you've got one you'll find you use it more & more & they're easy to fit & setup. I would love one on my '51 P but they don't do the rivet through head so not a match (if you're fussy like me ) Cheerz, John

Aha! I notice the seller edited the ad at 9:14 - (after I had posted) - there was no mention in the description.
I'm getting into the bitsa basses & I'm the other way around. If I had a Jazz I'd stick a P-bass neck on it.
The Frank Bello signature is proper P neck, P pup + J pup at bridge, in a Jazz body. Aerodynes P & J have Jazz necks I believe & completely different body to the Bello. I love mine
Very slightly possibly interested mate, whats the best price (posted) you can do it for? Cheers amigo....
Depends where you want it posted? If it's China it'll be more than a tenner! If it's UK I'll box it & do it DHL next day for the asking price - £200 - OVNO. If it's near Manchester way, my OH will be travelling up next week so could maybe arrange something. Cheerz, John -
Looking to trade my CV Jazz. Only a few months old, fancying a bit of a shake up with my bass gear to keep things fun. I'll consider all types of bass but mainly 4 strings really. I like quirky things, shortscale's, hollow bodies, odd shapes WHY?! doesn't haven't to be an exact trade, a bit of money either way is cool.
How's about a lovely - quirky maybe - Traben Neo Ltd?

I have major GAS for a '57 Vintage USA in white blonde, it's almost a second mortgage & they don't seem to come up 2nd hand but would I be satisfied? I've not been able to see/hold/feel/try/play/hear one yet
Any tips on my technique would be much appreciated. sitting down to play I find it less comfortable to play - it just kinda doesn't work for me. I'm also silly tall and my hands are huge. Thought ya might want to know.
Hey pirate, It's good, as already commented, the bass could do with a little more volume & clarity but hey it's great for first video! As for technique, (I'm tall with big hands too, but a lot older ), if you're sitting playing a lot you need to keep your back straight & level up your shoulders. Most of your right hand action was off camera but from what i saw you probably need to work on the way your wrist is kinked over the top of the woodwork, that's not good for you long term. Make sure your legs are not cramped too, if you're sitting on a bed you'd definitely benefit from getting a stool or similar, maybe 24" high or more, it will help a lot with your posture. Try a strap too, take time getting it set right, it will help control the bass, spread the weight & take the pressure off your thigh where it's pushing down. HTH, keep up the good work, Cheerz, John
Right. I have been reading through this place for some time now and it seems to me that if we all HAD to play the same bass starting right now it would be the following - Squier VM Jazz Badass Bridge Wizzard Pickups John East Pre Who on BC would accept this bass as their one and only if forced to give up the rest of their gear? Also what is the BC amp? I was thinking little bastard but not so sure.
The Squire VMJ don't float my boat - sorry I don't like Jazz necks & don't rate Squire a lot. Badass bridge - which one? They're good but I think the Hipshot are neater & have more/better adjustment eg: string spacing. Wizzard pickups I haven't tried so can't comment on but I think I'll stick with Seymour Duncans & biggest no-no = any preamp! Passive for me every day ta very much. Just call me old fashioned & put a '57 vintage P white blonde in my hands = happy now Amp? Little Bastard suits me fine but it won't satisfy the needs of most here, that's for sure Staying with the Ashdown all tube idea though - Small Block 427 I reckon will do more than enough Cheerz, John

Good to see he can nearly spell too! Nice pressie like that! Just MHO of course

Superb Congrats & well done

Don't bother buying one of these amps if you want a HundredWatts of transistorised tinnyness & thin-tone However - if you fancy a HundredWeight of real tube heavy duty tone & old skool bassiness, these Little Bastards are great Have a free BUMP for the first 2nd hand LB I've seen & good luck with the sale. Cheerz, John
