  1. I made Dave a wiring kit for his Spector Legend, he's a diamond to deal with, great comms and instant payment, perfect gent. Cheerz, John
  2. I worked in the Hastings factory, wiring and assembling mostly AC30s with cabs, organs and disco decks. The guitars came in from Erith and were soon out the door again so I'm afraid I can't tell you much about them. All the guys there were in bands, we had a lot of fun, everything had to be played/tested, amazing how much stuff 'left via the back door' all the bamds were never short of kit 😎 Definitely worth repairing it's a lovely piece of bass history. @Christine My first bass was a home made copy of the teardrop bass, made by my Dad and me when I was 13/14, after seeing the Rolling Stones using them, long before working at VOX.
  3. If Stub changes his mind I'll give it a good home 😎 It looks in very good nick apart from the neck, as @HowieBass says take the 2 strings off, take the neck off, leave it maybe weighted on a flat surface and see what happens. Electrics = no problem 😊 (Did I mention I worked for VOX late 60s/early 70s), them goodoldays 😆
  4. I thought you were looking for a way to use 2 volumes, tone, switch and jack.
  5. I had severe cramps, mostly leg cramps in the night and morning, had Quinine Sulphate tablets prescribed, they really help. Maybe ask your GP. YMMV HTH, John
  6. I got my Mum to make me - for on stage only - scarlet red cord loons, brilliant! No haven't still got them, must have been 50 years ago 😃
  7. Could do Yes Yes Jazz pups - using 2 wires each - wiring the omg switch effectively as series/parallel with the 2 separate pups instead of the 2 coils on the g&l. Could do on each if 4 wire pups I s'pose..
  8. True - but a similar effect with any 4 wire pick up. No problem - errrr hang on - how much switching? Head scratching mode engaged!
  9. This is the passive wiring, yes it can be done 😎 Mini toggle switch or push/pull on the volume pot.
  10. Series/Parallel switch. Easier if you have a P pick up that already has four wire output, but any split P can be modified.
  11. Wiring loom with Volume/Blend/Tone/Jack socket, fully wired ready to fit, with solderless connectors, simple installation and future pick up swaps. Bourns 250K Audio pots, Switchcraft Jack socket, .047uF PolyDrop Cap. Comes with connection diagram and screwdriver + 100% backup. Control plate mounting holes need to be 3/8" / 9.5mm, I can supply on new bell plate £12.50 extra + £4 more postage. £35 posted UK, (letterbox size package), overseas at cost. Please see my feedback; http://basschat.co.uk/topic/67544-feedback-for-kiogon/page__st__140 Cheerz, John
  12. Hi Jono, Only Alpha Mini pots and very cheap nasty pots had about 8mm dia. threads but all decent quality pots have 3/8" / 9.5mm mounting, even Alpha have changed to that now. Edit: The latest batch of Alpha Minis 250K Audio I ordered came with 3/8" threads, quite a surprise! So I don't know if old stock, smaller threads, is still available anywhere. If you need to enlarge the holes on a normal P scratch plate, 'tis a simple matter. Cheerz, John

  14. Why the change of tuners or is it a different neck? BTW that serial number dates it 2009-10 Your guitar was made at the Corona Plant (Fender), USA in 2009 - 2010 Production Number: 453106 Cheerz, John
  15. Looks like it should be under a screw into the control cavity to make contact with the conductive paint - to connect the screening to earth. HTH, John
