    Good knobs are heavy - fact! What mystery? It's job enough to get the standard black/chrome knurled brass to fit the CTS/Fender concentric pots a lot of the time and yes they're dear.

    But the 'Pukka FullFat' Fender branded and Fender/CTS concentric pot shafts are 6.68mm / 4.72mm so they won't fit them.

    Have you checked it hasn't got a shim already? Maybe in the wrong place or just simply needs removing altogether.
