  1. Not really, I'm still trapped in the moment of wonder 🤣
  2. Another deal with Mark, this time a wiring kit for something a bit different! Great guy to deal with, a pleasure every time. Cheerz, John
  3. Find your nearest "Roland Planet" from the link, go in and ask to speak to the manager - then make a lot of noise until you are satisfied 😎 https://www.roland.com/uk/dealer_locator/planet_stores/ Seriously - find a dealer near you and kick derrière.
  4. Andy has had a few wiring kits from me, most recently a Jazz with S/P. He's a real gent to deal with, perfect comms and instant payment, one of BC's finest. CHeerz, John
  5. +1 The NHS is bloody marvelous - such a shame it takes so long to get appointments, Best wishes, John
  6. Ed Sheeran - great solo performance but same old same old. Clean Bandit surprisingly good across a whole lot of songs. Noel and his H F B better than I ever heard him before, can't usually stand him! Liam - nothing's changed = never did and never will like him or his approach. Paloma and her band always good to see and hear. Simple minds great, didn;t see enough of their set. Taylor Swift - on much too long, 2 minutes would have been OK Florence - hit and miss, never sure about her. Sam Smith - winey whingy git, on too long! Nice coat Sorry to have missed Billy Ocen, Manics and Squeeze.
  7. You might well find the bores not finished properly - especialy around the hole where the grub screw pokes through. I always twiddle a 1/4" reamer around the insides, making sure the screw is out of the way first, then they slide straight on. Cheerz, John
  8. The recommended approach is to position a piece of cord or edge of a cloth under the edge of the knob, (or the remaining insert), then pull the string/cloth upwards. Don't punch yourself in the face when it goes!
  9. Welcome to the machine, Well done getting your Koi to roll over like that, I've got a cat that does but never my Koi
  10. Chris bought a Jazz bass wiring loom, great comms and instant payment, excellent chap to deal with, top fella
  11. More photo's available @ http://s1355.photobucket.com/user/CCBemmy/library/Fender 1954 Precision Bass?sort=3&page=1 Edit: Looks about right to me - but I'm no expert! Wish there was neck heel end and pots pics.
  12. As said by @NickA, it appears the J pup wires are crossed, can't be sure from the photo'
  13. Lozz has ordered 3 P-bass wiring looms from me lately, he's a real pleasure to deal with and we all know how much Lozz loves his P's From enquiry through, spot on communications, instant payment - everything you'd expect from a top bloke. Cheerz, John
  14. The CTS/Fender concentric pots are both = 250K Volume and 500K Tone. HTH, John
  15. OK not frequency as such - how often does it tick?
  16. Have you tried it in different places/buildings? It could be RFI, something in your house or area. What frequency is the tick?
  17. Deathwatch Beetle? - " Deathwatch beetle alert. Q We have deathwatch beetle, and I am in a quandary about what to do. Although I can't see obvious bore holes, I heard their telltale clicking during April and May." (From The Telegraph) Seriously though, could be anything from the pick up's windings through to wiring, pots, cap. or jack socket. As it's a Jazz bass, this may not apply: http://www.buildingconservation.com/articles/beetle/beetle.html
  18. Not Yamaha's nut fault - those phat b'stards were never going in that slot
  19. Don't send 'em round here then, my fence has just cost me >£2.5k
  20. The photo showing the neck heel also shows a pot and wiring, that ain't a CTS pot and the grey screened lead shown soldered to the pot ain't Fender either, so I doubt the pick ups are. POS IMHO.
  21. Of course if you don't like chicken you could try GHS Fast Fret https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/GHS-Fast-Fret-String-Lubricant-4oz/7CT?origin=product-ads&utm_campaign=*PLA+Shop+-+All+Products&utm_medium=vertical_search&network=google&adgroup=**All+Products&merchant_id=1279443&product_id=9533d1&product_country=GB&product_partition_id=29215885694&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIurjMnuv_2QIVSpPtCh0nIAmeEAQYASABEgJA7vD_BwE Other lubes are available
