1.
Stuck in the 80s me....so what was he using?
Don't ask me - I'm stuck in the 60's but a search should show up quite a bit about the fx used. Edit; Here's a bit! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/223363-royal-blood/page__st__150__p__3291105__hl__royal%20blood%20pedals__fromsearch__1#entry3291105

3.
OK so what pedals is that front man for Royal Blood using with his bass to make THAT sound...wtf? Not often am i amazed at the noises made by a bass player but that was off the wall!
Where have you been?
4. Dave got in touch to get a bit more out of a Jazz bass, thinking of a series/parallel switch. Excellent comms and instant payment, the deal was done, another satisfied basschatter! Great guy to deal with, glad you like the sounds now Dave Cheerz, John
5.
Yet another example of intonation being an unknown to most....
Ah but when you have a Fender Precision with a zero fret like that - who needs intonation

Sorry for the crap pictures taken in a rush but here it is; https://www.dropbox.com/s/kqu4t6yftuinv3c/2017-05-17%2017.01.18.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ny5qbzwp3zxbzwl/2017-05-17%2017.02.09.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ezurjrmi3dmi63d/2017-05-17%2017.02.23.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/9nj4z8q77t344o1/2017-05-17%2017.02.47.jpg?dl=0 Cheerz, John
9. Hi Jerry, Can you send me some pics of the wiring, pots & shielding? My kits have continuous earth wired throughout so it sounds like maybe a trapped wire or a tone pot tag touching earth somewhere. If you swap pick ups you can eliminate that, a buzz from touching the pole pieces can indicate a break down of the insulation inside the pick up. Cheerz, John
10. When I ordered mine I asked about a matching cab, they said they were making a 212 to go with. All I wanted was a single 12 & couldn't understand why they would put a 212 up with a 30W amp. Anyway the great british Ashdown team put together a custom 112 to match especially for me. In time I found it was 'just lacking something' in tone, so I got a s/h Ashdown Mini 48, same width cab to go with. The Ashdown guys very kindly supplied me with grill cloth, piping & badge to transform the 48 to a match for the 112. I can't find my old pictures atm, I'll get a fresh pic up for you, it's a great looking 'mini stack' Cheerz, John
11. I was the first to place my order for the Little Bastard, have had from new - straight from the workbench - Number 1 - UK hand made It's never let me down & sounds exactly how you want a valve amp to sound - every time Highly recommended, can't comment on the Chinese version, sorry, HTH! Cheerz, John

15. Try the 2.5mm & lubricate the new screw threads with Bees wax or Candle. If it's too tight - then get a bigger drill
16. It's probably the wrong knob for the pot, pictures please?
17. I made another wiring kit for Graeme, as always a real pleasure to deal with, a true gent and jolly fine basschatter! Cheerz, John
18. The barrel jack probably goes through a chunk of wood - which would have to be machined out to enable a standard type to be fitted with a metal mounting plate, or an alternative fixing hole made in a more accesible place, (unlikely!). I would say best to replace with a Switchcraft made Stereo Barrel Jack socket, they're the best available IMHO & will probably last as long as your DeArmond original - as long as it's not mistreated. HTH Cheerz, John
19. Terribly sad, RIP Gary - condolences to family & friends.
