Mark has made a couple of visits 'down South' recently - it's been a great pleasure meeting him & family at long last, shame he didn't have more spare time to sit & chat! If you put a mark - felt tip pen or similar - on the nut & adjacent wood, you will see if it is actually the nut loosening or the wood compressing. Two different problems IMHO.

PS: The pots & wiring are rubbish

I don't know but obviously the pick ups look like Fralins OK, can't read the serial number but theer is much confusion over these, I do know. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly

The way the E string lines with the nut, I'd say that's a Jazz neck don't look like a 76 P neck to me
