1. I don't know but obviously the pick ups look like Fralins OK, can't read the serial number but theer is much confusion over these, I do know. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly
2.
Next time I'm in an Italian restaurant I'm going to order a stimolatore intimo and see what happens.
If it's Gino D'acampo's place he'll probably give you one
3. I'd buy that if it was over 'ere Edit: Nah - changed my mind - I see you can get them here
4. The way the E string lines with the nut, I'd say that's a Jazz neck don't look like a 76 P neck to me

7. There's a huge range of strings for Acoustic bass - but whatever suits your style really, for example; http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/acoustic-bass-strings-sets-c36

9.
Hi all, I've picked up a nice Fender MIM P and giving it a good clean, but the screws securing the pups are rusty and the heads a bit worn. They're really small though. I've got some other pup screws and thought of drilling out the holes in the pup to give clearance for a bigger screw, but I think the drill would wreck the hole. So, does anyone here know where I can get some of these really small pup screws? I think they're 3mm screws, 30mm long.
Drop me a PM & I'll send you a set assuming the ones I have are the size you need? Cheerz, John EDIT: I just saw you have the size there! I'll have a look Edit 2: About 2.85 x 33, 5 across head; https://www.dropbox.com/s/q43aasqhx4kak5s/2015-11-23%2011.09.56.jpg?dl=0
10. Probably the nut needs cutting - lowering the strings = less fretting pressure & far nicer to play.
11. Sods law states - it won't be there when you go back! Should have bought it seconds after seeing it
12. Second time I've made a kit for Aljosa, this time a P/J stacked knob kit. Communications were perfect, payment instant & delivery to Slovenia no problem, just a few days! Great guy to deal with, recommended to all & really good to find dealing across the EU so simple, no problems! Cheerz, John
13. Or: http://www.seymourduncan.com/wiring-diagrams?meta_params=view-all,bass ignoring the preamp but depending on where you have to connect to?
14.
Just a thought - have you looked at keyboard cases?
No - hadn't thought of that! Cheerz - will do
15. Looking for a big wide case, not too expensive, second hand ideal! Biggest I've found so far is 420 wide - http://www.thomann.de/gb/rockcase_rc10622b_warlock_basscase.htm but not wanting to spend so much. Anything wider would be a bonus, not too fussed about length 1240 or more will do nicely. For a project - not actually involving a bass I hope it's OK to post here & not in items wanted - 'cos you don't get answers there Cheerz, John

Another immaculate transaction with Byron, I thought I'd left feedback before but - - anyway, great communications & instant payment, deal with confidence, he's a top fella! Cheerz, John
17. Status Hot Wires = excellent VFM & compare well with the best IMO - http://www.status-graphite.com/status/frames/index_home.html
18.
Were those custom made? First looks like a B&Q type job, hardly suitable for 50 - 60 lbs total weight. Would the runner support 8-9 lb when fully extended? (based on experience of similar looking 'sock and knicker' draws falling apart!)
I agree the white unit looks a bit cheap, the woodgrain job looks pukka! PS What big socks & knickers you must have

21. Another perfect transaction with Jeff, he's a top fella Cheerz, John
22. I don't think you should dis the whole of Hastings - for the behaviour of one lunatic bar owner! He probably has a personal problem with one or more of the Soap Girls which got out of hand - but who in their right mind has a bucket of 'blood' ready to throw at an act? I hope they sue him!
23.
KiOgon, it's virtually on your doorstep...
I really need to go to spexavers - didn't notice that! Should I have a look at it
