1. Thanks Sid, but I'm looking for direct fit replacement, axial leads.
2. I'm looking for a couple of Zener Diodes IN5353B 16V 5W, not found anywhere in UK selling less than 50's - thought it might be worth a shout here - anyone got some? Cheerz, John
3. Yes I've seen them - a while ago one of their first ever gigs in the caves in Hastings & a few years later on the pier. You don't get up close & personal like that nowadays Best of luck getting the tickets Blue Their 3rd visit to Hastings - 1st August '64 - tickets were 10/-, that's 50p kids
4. Nice one Silvia & Joel, it can only do us all good
5. It's the best & I don't know what I'd do with all the time I'd have spare if I wasn't spending it here The good guys here outnumber the odd bad egg by a very huge number
6.
A friend was at school with Alex James and told me that it's not actually his real name. I think he's called Dave really, but changed it because he felt uncomfortable having two Daves in the band. I wouldn't want to vouch for the truth of this in any way, I have to say, but there it is all the same.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Alex+James

10. First dealing with Paul, I'm delighted to start up a feedback thread for him. After a thread asking about converting his Ibanez 1205 to passive, he contacted me for some ideas. We soon came up with a plan, which I'm pleased to say has worked out very well - making Paul a happy chap with a great sounding Ibanez. Excellent communication throughout & instant payment, he's a real pleasure to deal with, no hesitation in recommending him to one & all. Cheerz, John

14.
I said it would be only a couple of weeks or so when he ordered and nothing has changed! I thought he was asking others to see how long they waited?
Fair enough, it just struck me as strange that you hadn't commented on the expected date.
15. As Alex has visited & had input here I thought he would have answered the OP's question

18. Just thought I'd throw my 2penneth in When I were a lad, we had to make basses all proper like, with pencil & paper & things for workin' it all out much brain ache Then came calculators followed by computers, then most recently - the internet & GOOGLE, (other search engines are also available), where it takes just a few clicks to be presented with all the data you could wish for. Here's a good one:- http://www.stewmac.com/FretCalculator They say life was simple back then
19. Go on then - you start how many can you find?
20. Early 70s our guitarist's sister joined us as a singer/front lady & we switched name to Felicity Grit and The Rubber Sin Band. Which was nice
21. Me - hobbyist, amateur & has been, all rolled into one played since 1 was 14 so that's 50 years on & off, last gigged in '76 before a lot of you's was even a twinkle count me out on the technical stuff, I play by ear - can pick almost anything up after a listen & play along or three. I used to say it keeps my fingers moving & helps stop the arthritis from seizing me up, but lately it's getting harder - just a few minutes playing does me still love it though
22. Andy wanted a upgrade kit for his P-bass, a couple of PMs & a swift dose of Paypal later - it was sorted. A great guy to deal with, super simple transaction, a pleasure to deal with. Cheerz, John
23. Howdo & welcome from over the border - which end of Kent are you?
24. I think - not certain - a real Japanese Fender would have Made in Japan on the neck heel, (or the other Crafted in Japan) but . . . . Looks good but overpriced IMHO.
