1. Have you tried a different/proven good lead?
 2. Mark got in touch about improving/upgrading the controls & circuit in a Overwood Tanglewater P/J. Excellent communications & after a few Q's & A's settled on a stacked knob replacement plate, which I hear he's very pleased with Great guy to deal with, a pleasure in fact, deal with confidence. Cheerz, John
 3. Aljosa contacted me about an upgrade kit for his P-bass, excellent communication & instant payment. Postage was sorted & it was delivered in 4 days, not bad! Super guy to deal with, no problems, recommended. Cheerz, John
 4.
As long as there's plenty of thread in the neck - you should be fine. A mm or two shouldn't weaken the joint (assuming you've got 10 mm + of screw in the neck).
A mm or two! you'll probably need .010" or .015" that's all & it'll be fine Edit: A piece of card - business card type is usually about right!
 5.
2003?
Well - not on the HW1 P-bass - mines a 03 with proper BBOT

 14. Routinely? Yes every time I get a bass I always fit a new set of flats & that's it for a very long time. I like to match my string to the feel of a bass - usually that's GHS Precision Flats 55 - 105 on a P-bass 1&3/4" neck. Status HotWire Flats 45 - 105 on P-bass 1&5/8" neck & TI JF344 43 - 100 on Jazz bass 1&1/2" neck. I love the Nylon Tapewounds on Fretless, GHS or LaBella, (Black or White), 50 - 105. It's not a strict formula I stick rigidly to - but it works for me & I can't remember last time I replaced a set, I don't play as much as many folks though
 15.
Sorry not a bass related question but my recent acquisition is a Westfield LP style guitar. It has a great sound but perhaps could be a bit brighter. I opened up the control cavity and noticed it's installed with .47 caps on the tone pots which I believe isn't the standard on a humbucker fitted guitar. When in position 0 it is very dark indeed. If I put .22 will this make the tone a bit brighter in position 10 or does it only affect tone as it's rolled off? I've read conflicting info on whether it has an affect on the fully open position. Thanks!
Yes only as the tone is rolled off - dsiclaimer - depending on how it's wired I suppose! If you put a higher value pot in ie: 500 instead of 250K it helps a bit.
