5. Matt bought a wiring kit for his P-bass, great comms, smooth deal & instant payment, he's a fine fellow to deal with. Cheerz, John
6. My suggestion would be to try your existing pickups though a quality passive control circuit, ditch the pre-amp & see what sounds you get then you might be pleasantly surprised & save yourself a £100 or more in the long run if you still want to buy pups then - - - Kits to fit are available from - - see below Cheerz, John
7. All dues paid mate pleased to help
8.
Is the toggle switch for swapping between pups as both on neck only bridge only? cheers
Yes indeed I hope Jono doesn't mind me sticking my nose in

10. it looked a lot tidier when on a card! https://www.dropbox.com/s/g72pn0nhg216yzk/2014-11-15%2008.01.21.jpg?dl=0 Just to say to anyone who buys this harness I'll give my full support & fitting info if required. GLWTS Jono
11. Why not plug the holes & redrill for the smaller screws?
12. Status Hotwires for sure, just pennies over £20 to your door & they're as good as much more expensive flats
13. From the pic's I'd say the thread on the end of the rod is 'buggered' (a technical term) the only possible repair is to re-cut a smaller diameter thread & fit a matching spoke wheel. May be easier to fit a new rod
14. Another vote for the Little Bastard, no fan no hiss & beautiful valve tone all day every day
15.
Just snagged a nice blonde piggyback bassman, after much searching, so thought i'd get some of my combo's out in the fresh air for a pic: '52 Precision with '52 TV Bassman, '58 Precision with '59 Bassman, '61 Jazz, with '63 Bassman
Yummy! Great to see them together like that very nice Rick
16.
.....and a zero fret on a fretless isn't exactly ideal for setting it up...
True - I wouldn't like the height of a fret there on mine, the strings practically start at zero - on the fingerboard
17. I can't see why it appears to be fitted with a adjustable nut - when it has a zero fret? Pointless!
18. G'day Dave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hUtmNeFVng
19. I fit the 6 string sets a lot for guitarists, 150L 9-42 & 150R 10-46, they're a lovely mellow string, soft & smooth don't like their big brothers though HTH

22.
In hindsight maybe Phil shouldn't have had a plate put on the back with 'Phil Lynott, 1949-1986' - it was asking for trouble. Still the wood screws on the brass are a nice touch.
23. Very pleased with mine, 4.11 Kg balances right.. It needed a bit taken out of the nut slots, (doesn't everything?) Since I put Flats on - Status Hotwires & did a complete set-up I haven't had to adjust anything. Usual BBOT bridge & 70's style tuners all work fine, electrics are good, nothing to change but black tuners would look good IMO. Body & neck fit & finish are as good as any USA, frets are finished well & they're the vintage size, not medium jumbo as Fender say, I'm used to the 1 3/4" neck. I love it, sounds just like a great P & plays well, I reckon it's a classy classic black & maple beauty. Cheerz, John
24. Yep - good showcase with some excellent gigs under your belt just needs the right people to see it & you'll be getting calls
