1. A factor in the OP's bass is the blend pot used. there are various per cent of either pick up in the range of some pots, some will not take the J completely out of circuit when fully turned. Hope that makes sense
2. Thanks for that - I'll try to stay awake for it 11 - 12PM
3. Have you tried terrapin? http://www.terrapinguitars.com/pdfFiles.html Cheerz, John
4. Ashdown MiBass 220 Micro Bass Amp Head [s]£180[/s] REDUCED to £150 or make an offer. Cash/Bank Transfer/Paypal Gift/Personal - no fees my way. You can try me but I can't think of any trades I'd be interested in I bought this brand new in September 2012, (have receipt), £287.45. It sat ontop a cab for a while & I probably used it 1/2 a dozen time for a total of a few minutes. I wanted a back up & a solid state amp to compare with my all valve Ashdown. It does exactly what it should, superb bass tones, lots of EQ range & plenty of power in a 3.7lb packet, 220 W into 4 Ohm, sounds great coupled with my Ashdown 112. It is as new, no dents, scratches or damage, you might find a spec of dust or 2! Original bag, box, manual, receipt & UK mains lead. Save over £100 on the new cost. Plenty of pictures around without me showing up my non professional photo’ taking I’m sure, it’s the black front panel one! Postage at cost no problem wherever – I will only use a signed for service – or FREE courier delivery if bought (& paid for) before 30th Nov 14. Please feel free to check out my feedback http://basschat.co.u...n/page__st__240 Cheerz, John

10. Reverse the connections - (swap black & white) & see what it's like.
11. Had a go on Andy's (JusLukin) Harley 5 & was really impressed, nothing to complain about - could have been any price really - absolute bargain I wouldn't buy one because I love my Fenders & I've got too many of them but if I was strapped for cash & needed a bass it would be high on my list of budget basses. If you're a badge snob - then no it won't satisfy
12. Definitely try a new battery first, that's probably all it is!
13. As the drawing Ian posted should be right, use red & black as your output with green & white joined, the outer screen with the black = ground. Cheerz, John
14. Are we taking 2 or 4 wire pick ups? Both new & old? Assuming the original pick ups were fine, in phase & no buzz - I would swap back one of the pick ups with the original & see which one of your new is out of phase.
15. That cannot comply with any safety regs I'm sure - I would get it checked out + make sure your insurances are all up to date whoever's in charge/hired you needs to sort things out.
16. No advantage to with a mono jack plug, I'm assuming you're not using the ring for active/battery switching?

24. These are ultra compact & steady enough for round bottomed like P bass shapes not for offset like Jazz. OK in my music room but probably not on stage! http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-gig-stand/69911
