1. The saddle height screws or the intonation ones? Whichever - after soaking in penetrating oil, not WD40 or Lighter fuel if they don't move by the appropriate screwdriver/allen key in the head, you can try gripping any portion of the thread that is protruding from the saddle enough, with a good pair of pliers or even better mole grips. If the screws are badly corroded they're going to need replacing anyway
2. Very wrong! Reported Edit 2: I have to say they are the nastiest tuners I've ever seen
3. At least she didn't get to a tube station & get shot! Missing a band ain't the end of the world is it?
4. Yes Zenitram got the kit + case then got me to build it for him. Easy build if you know what you're doing, good kit with all the right bits - could have been better bagged but not a problem. Straightforward to build - assembling the case requires some patience looks good when it's all together & I gather Martin is rather pleased with Beyond testing it - I couldn't comment on the usefulness I'd be quite happy to build another
5.
Probably best you don't follow the link.....http://www.coda-music.com/fender-custom-shop-precision-bass-p-15040.html
I couldn't resist I'm in love
6. Best wishes Pete, I hope everything works out for you & yours.

9. If it sounds good & plays OK - what's not to like? http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx Your guitar was made at the Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan), Japan in the Year(s): 1993 - 1994
10. Lovely that is, proper lush & overflowing with mojo, good score Mark I'd be tempted to take it to a 'gypsy rose' & see if she could read those lines on the back
11. Ah! I remember those days in the school playground - behind the bi-cut
12.
I wonder what the stuff that comes off is? I guess it could be some sort of residue from the polishing process, as I've noticed it on flats and groundwounds, but not on rounds.
Yes - residue/s from the winding machine's lubrication & the polishing processes. I've had it on rounds too, especially those fitted standard on Traben basses.
13.
Ashdown have always been spot-on with regards to customer care! Good lads & lasses for sure Si
+1 Excellent customer care & if/when you 'phone their technical dept. you get someone who really knows what they're talking about too!
14. Aha! Yes you spoke about the G&L, perhaps that'll scratch the itch
15. What happened to your lovely custom P?
16. Well - I didn't hear any 'bass' on that clip
17.
Looks like a nice thing. It's a bit more than I wanted to spend, really. But it's a nice thing! Something a bit 'Wal' about it. Like you say, my problem is how to try the number of Warwicks I need to try to be able to make a proper decision.
Definitely, for me it is a bit different to the other Warwicks, but still retains their individuality, I'm not so keen on the flatish fretboard, (20" they say) or the big frets, but certainly a good player & some sweet tones.
18. This pops ups on google:- http://www.rock-gear.de/index.php?cl=details&anid=450e978a15ed55c8807319695f17d602&lang=1&&cur=1 Burgundy Red is nice this time of year definitely worth trying but I don't know where you'd be able to
19. No Mark, full 34" but the SG like body is lost on my belly
20. +1 - I forgot about the Jack Bruce signature Warwick - by far the best Warwick I ever tried & not the £4k+ model Or even - Edit: But they're too small for me
21.
FWIW. La Bellas are sticky out of the packet. Bear with them and they smooth out wonderfully.
Top tip!? When I get new flats of any make I give them a really good rubbing down with cotton pad soaked in Surgical Spirits - you might not believe the shyte that comes off them & it seems to smooth them off before starting to use them. Some are worse than others, but I always give them a clean before fitting, then after first use a going over with Fast Fret, use that a few times while the strings are still quite fresh, then perhaps once every 6 months.
22. I rate Status Hot Wire Flats very highly & they must be best VFM at £20ish posted, I've just put a new set on my Roger Waters P, very happy with them. I've had them on my HW1 P for a few years now & they're nicely run in still as good as new
23. Fond memories of the time - especially Crystal Palace garden parties, Pink Floyd in 71 & Yes in 72, going back even further the Hyde Park free concerts
