  1. Easy fix - a strip of black sticky tape over the top - will smooth out the bumps & you can replace it as often as you like.

  4. I reckon that would be fine - easier than changing the whole pick up like I did for the same reason on my AV'57 Edit: BTW The sticking up bits are pole pieces not pots
