1. A guitard friend once pulled 1/2 the front of his Gibson ES335 right off trying to get a knob off, "that's F hole'd it" I think he said
2. Good on you Guy stick around - you're very welcome
3. That's lovely Joe, a bass you can be proud to be seen out with Lots of HW1 love here too very pleased with my old '03 crimson red transparent P
4. Or if you wanted to pay a bit more http://www.asterope.com/ http://www.musicradar.com/gear/guitars/guitar-accessories-components/guitar-accessories/cables/asterope-pro-stage-series-cable-573539
5. Also highly recommended - very high quality, flexible, tough cloth covered, great plugs & a nice little bag: http://www.amazon.co.uk/VBC-19BL-19ft-Class-Professional-Cable/dp/B000Y7O0FK/ref=sr_1_68?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1367166366&sr=1-68&keywords=VOX
6. A good USA precision, Nitro cellulose black, (maple neck or rosewood), left face down in the sun on a good day, should be capable of frying an egg on it's back you don't really want a string through body though.
7. I've used one of these for years - no problem:- http://www.normans.co.uk/p-3664-planet-waves-ns-capo-lite.aspx
8. That wasn't Hilary Devey singing then?
9. Who's that on Jimmy's left? Edit: It was David Letterman Just think the original & best of course was a 3 piece band + singer, how many was that? Good though
10. Hi Nick, The wiring harness pictured is not one of mine, or has been altered, the card is but not the wiring - just to make that clear. Cheerz, John
11. Like like like - the drummer's a bit of a cock though
12. Mike is a fine fella indeed to deal with, he's had a couple of wiring kits from me, excellent communications, instant payment, no problems, highly recommended, top class basschatter Cheerz, John
13. I don't know how/why this is still here, thought people were looking for these? Lovely bass for the £££
14. I really like my 'Vintage Jaco' same as above, fantastic for a budget fretless, like it so much I'm not even tempted to spend more on something that won't even sound so good. Nothing to upgrade - nothing to worry about, doesn't even matter about a few knocks & scuffs. I've got Black Nylon GHS on mine & it has all the mwaaaaaaaahh you could ever want. GLWTS, Lot of fretless for the money
15. No problems here, I very happily paid my £20 without seeing it as a charge for selling, just as £20 well spent for the general everyday use I get from the forum, I rarely use the for sale section, but I know it's there if I need to. I thought from the start that however the 'charge' was introduced or labelled that it would cause a split, unavoidable that I think is part of the 'tension'. I'm quite happy to dip into off topic threads & if I don't like the agenda of a thread I don't look at it again - simple As Raymondo says - it's a bit like Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show - sometimes I just have to turn it off Never let your bollox dangle in the dust & never let the bastards get you down
16. Just supplied Lee with a custom '62 Jazz stacked kit, he's a delight to deal with, as always great communication & instant payment, top geezer Cheerz, John
17.
The edge bevel would be wrong...
Are the Jazz anodized plates bevelled? The '57 P-bass ones aren't.
18. Another one of Uncle Horrid's specials, he even custom built the bridge for this too
19. Am I going mad or would a anodized Jazz R/H plate turned over fit a leftie? Apart from the countersunks
20.
If only Ozzy could sing...
. . . it wouldn't be Sabbath though would it?
21. I don't often 'turn it up' so soon after waking up but I just had too! There's life in them old buggers yet as above ^ unmistakeably Sabbath
