Mike is a fine fella indeed to deal with, he's had a couple of wiring kits from me, excellent communications, instant payment, no problems, highly recommended, top class basschatter

I really like my 'Vintage Jaco' same as above, fantastic for a budget fretless, like it so much I'm not even tempted to spend more on something that won't even sound so good. Nothing to upgrade - nothing to worry about, doesn't even matter about a few knocks & scuffs. I've got Black Nylon GHS on mine & it has all the mwaaaaaaaahh you could ever want.
GLWTS,
Lot of fretless for the money
No problems here, I very happily paid my £20 without seeing it as a charge for selling, just as £20 well spent for the general everyday use I get from the forum, I rarely use the for sale section, but I know it's there if I need to. I thought from the start that however the 'charge' was introduced or labelled that it would cause a split, unavoidable that I think is part of the 'tension'.
I'm quite happy to dip into off topic threads & if I don't like the agenda of a thread I don't look at it again - simple
As Raymondo says - it's a bit like Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show - sometimes I just have to turn it off
Never let your bollox dangle in the dust & never let the bastards get you down
Just supplied Lee with a custom '62 Jazz stacked kit, he's a delight to deal with, as always great communication & instant payment, top geezer

The edge bevel would be wrong...

Are the Jazz anodized plates bevelled? The '57 P-bass ones aren't.
Another one of Uncle Horrid's specials, he even custom built the bridge for this too

To cover all basses you'll need one that doesn't always come in the cheap sets - Imperial 1/20" or .050". If buying a set it's better to make sure the smallest sizes are there - you're not likely to need any of the big buggers
I made a P-bass kit up for dunc, it all went sweet & easy, excellent comms & instant payment, he was a pleasure to do a deal with.
Delighted to start a thread for him

I was lucky - I placed an order with Stewart Macdonalds, about $78 IIRC, then started wondering if I'd get clobbered for the VAT & PO Charge.
Fortunately the parcel arrived with the proper value/details on the customs form, but it had been posted from Sweden where I presume the tools I ordered were made, anyway I didn't get stung, which was nice
I bought a graphics card from Cliff, great comms, he posted it right sharp, it arrived toot sweet & exactly as described, boxed with all the bits, no problemo.
Great guy to deal with,

2003 to 2006 was Satin Acrylic Lacquer Finish, not nitro. (Although it is a similar type of finish - just more stable and less prone to cracking / checking etc)
[/quote]
When you take a scratch plate off a 9 year old bass, that's never been off before - & you can still smell the cellulose - that's Nitro not what someone's read on the www somewhere.

I was interested in sunburst tho, see above

There you go then, 3TS = Nitro Cellulose

I sold 2 MiM P-basses last year IIRC £275 & £300, both in excellent nick, new strings with cases, 1 + gigbag, so I'd say that's the going rate for a good player that's clean/tidy.
Also sold a Fretless MiM P, can't remember exactly, could have been a bit less
