1. A pet! I was looking at prices of some terriers earlier, out of interest I [s]have a cat[/s] look after a cat that chose to come to live here, costs me in food & vet's bills etc. only, then I have my Koi, all bought years ago as tiny little things that have grown quite big now. I received an email today which made me think - how much is a bass 'worth' compared to a pet - a Koi for example how much would you pay for a fish? As much as a bass? http://www.koi.jpn.com/index.php/koi-for-sale/japan-now
2. I've just bought a Flashback from another BC'er & have to say I rate it 10/10 for the delay effects at least haven't played much with the looper yet but I'd say it's the best FX pedal I've had, super - great - smashing, highly recommended always wanted a good delay
3.
When I started playing, The Shadows was really the only band to aim for. G.
Likewise we used to practise the walk in my mates front room where his mum had a big mirror
4. Good pics but unfortunately not enough info to see, it needs proper investigating, can't diagnose from here, may well be a fault in the circuit/components & not necessarily the actual pot that's the problem. Cheerz, John
5. He's a good lad to be sure, that's a whole lot bluer than the black pearl he made for me very blue indeed lovely
6. Start with it in situ if you can get a good shot? Any letters/numbers on will help.
7. Hey Myke, if you can post pictures of your pot & wiring I might be able to suggest a replacement. Cheerz, John
8. The Humbucker is the problem IMO. I believe it's the way the 2 coils are wired & interact with the single coil pup. I don't have any Humbuckers here to experiment with though. I've been throught this same problem recently without finding the answer unfortunately. The Fender AV '62 Jazz bass circuit has worked for most other pickups but not with the Humbucker it seems. http://support.fender.com/service_diagrams/bass_guitars/019-0209C_SISD.pdf The '62 uses 250K volumes & 500K tones, (concentric pots) with no problem, separate pots make no difference. I don't think the treble bleed will help either. Cheerz, John
9. Hi Guys, I appreciate there's a lot going on with the new Subscribe option, just to make sure you're aware - my Paypal was refunded just now, no notification of whether the annual subscription has been cancelled or not. All the best, Cheerz, John
10. I just bought a TC Flashback from Andy, it's exactly as advertised or even better, as new, endless hours of FX for me now A real pleasure to deal with, great communication, superb bit of kit, original packaging etc. & posted exactly as promised, just great as BC deals should always be, no problem at all . Cheerz, john
11. Well maybe then & the answer = >1.22 billion at the last count. Good luck!
12.
- - - (Not that I'd order a Fender unseen due to their shoddy QC of course.)
With that attitude why bother even looking at them
13. You really think you're going to get a genuine original Finnish/USA made product, cheap - from India?
14. Cream - Jack Bruce a great source of influential material. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtWzR5RkB3U
15. http://www.guardian....vor-grills-dies WTF happened there?
16. Please make sure all your pick ups are well away from the wire wool at all times - preferably wrapped up tight in a plastic bag - last thing you want is thousands of tiny strands of it stuck all over your magnets! Vacuum the body & the whole area before unwrapping your pick ups. Best keep all the electrics out of the way too, pots don't take kindly to ingress of bits of steel. Cheerz, John
17. No no no no no no no no - yes you're right
18. Another deal with Charla, I supplied a P-bass loom, again he's a real pleasure to deal with, great comms & instant payment - a perfect BC'er Cheerz, John
19. Down a bit on the price list comes the Highway One P-bass, very highly regarded, if you're going for a 2nd hand, worth keeping an eye out for. The new American Special P I'd like to try, good VFM I reckon. The American Vintage basses are/were apparently made in the 'Custom Shop' so they do get that bit extra attention to detail. I've tried some Pino's & as much as I'd like one, can't justify the asking price.
20.
Fender American Vintage series. Either '57ri or 62ri actually Ive not heard a bad word about the pino signature P
+1, I don't think they can be beat, unless you don't like Fenders of course. '57 for Maple & '62 for rosewood Bad word about Pino's = why do they have to make the bridge so rusty?
21. You didn't do that for Seasick Steve did you Tom? Looks good
22. I sorted out some Jazz wiring for John, he's a true gent & a pleasure to deal with as many have said before. Cheerz, John
23. Greg ordered a replacement electrics kit for a Telecaster which I supplied, great comms & instant payment, a real pleasure to deal with, no hesitation in recommending him. Cheerz, John
24. Google suggests they're around https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Squier+Vintage+Modified+Jazz+sunburst&oq=Squier+Vintage+Modified+Jazz+sunburst&aqs=chrome.0.57&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
