1. Good to hear! I found the LB 112 a little lacking on it's own, that's why I run it with a mini 48, together they're excellent. Looking forward especially to a review on the mi10 to pair with my MiBass 220.
2. There is tons written about the Greasebucket if you Google it, you'll find all the info you need except what it sounds like to you Who do you know that's "junked theirs" - ask them why

You ain't seen me - right! Well done to all involved in the work that goes on behind the scenes
4. One problem you might find is I believe the Japanese cup & the jack socket they use is an metric thread/hole size, if the replacement socket you have is a Switchcraft the thread is bigger, if it's a replacement Alpha socket you'll be OK, except they don't last so long, which is why it needs replacing
5.
interesting! so Just to get this right in my head. You would do a full electric kit which id simply replace the originals with? il pm u for prices if you'd prefer, but Im guessing it would be an easy fix!
Yes I do a drop in replacement kit, spanner for the pot nuts & small screwdriver required & a spare 1/2 hour, (10 minutes if you're quick!) PM please if you're interested for prices & details. Cheerz, John
6. Hi Kongo, I would happily have a look at it for you but I'm way down South. Not the sort of thing to be sorted without hands on I fear. Good luck in finding someone local, Cheerz, John
7.
Hey everyone! I've got a standard Fender Jazz, knobs are vol, vol, tone. I wanna rewire it as master vol, pickup blend, tone. Any ideas how to go about it?? Thanks
Easy enough - http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=jazz_bass_blend
8. You could have a look at my feedback Cheerz, John
9.
Your pickups are out of phase. Swap the wires on one of them.
+1 Most likely! IIRC the SD P/J blend circuit works better without the ground to the blend pot body, apart from that both diagrams are good.
10. Many thanks for all the input & wise words, I'll certainly relay your thoughts but I have a feeling it's going to be shop bought most likely Bonners as they're close http://www.bonnersmusic.co.uk/drums-acoustic-drum-kits.irc or online. From my experience with Bonners - they never do anything 'bargain price'! So I'll put forward some online recommendations to maybe save him a few bob, having said that - he's not short of readies it seems! I don't think he's got the time, patience or any knowledge at all to look at 2nd hand & as it's to be a 'very big' Christmas surprise, new boxed & all that will be what he's after I'm sure. Cheerz, John
11.
If he doesn't want to get annoyed with him tell him to go electric
Very true - first thing I said to my mate was - he'll drive you mad but he wants a 'real kit'
12. A mate's son is interested in getting a kit & I'm getting asked what he should buy him! I know nothing - but saw this - any good??? Your suggestions welcome http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/62272-gretsch-cc-r845-cos-catalina-club-24-5-piece-kit-copper-sparkle-.html?utm_source=Dolphin+Newsletter&utm_campaign=3bca5f3fd6-Just_landed10_8_2012&utm_medium=email
13. Why not advertise 'like minded muso's wanted' & see what/who's around/also looking in your area? Start something yourself maybe
14.
Will it retrofit standard Fender bridges, with just 3 screws?
Yes they do - excuse my interjection
15. I have what looks very much like one of those bodies which I have fitted a used Vintage (JHS) P-bass neck on. I filled the 4 holes in the neck with wooden BBQ skewer & PVA, then re drilled to suit. No problems. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/kjon51/22082011853.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/kjon51/22082011858.jpg Cheerz, John
16. Bloody heck! How long have Fender been doing Dayglo Pink? It looks good & I bet it sounds good & feels good too
17. At the risk of repeating myself, (Gary has had a kit or 2 from me before ), he's a top bloke to deal with, always a pleasure Cheerz, John
18. Oh to be young again you've got the rest of your life to play bass, enjoy your little'n while you can If it's any consolation, I'm 61, was married for 25 years, been divorced 12 years, retired 11 years, kids left home long time since, there's just me, the 'mistress!', the cat & the fish Guess what - there's still not enough hours in a day to settle down with a bass uninterrupted for an hour - even 5 minutes sometimes
19. Just remembered - weeks ago Howard made me a special little black [s]dress[/s] control plate for a Jazz bass. 1st class job as always, cheap as chips & even went to extreme length to post it while on his hols, (from somewhere in the lake district I think!). He's a 24 carat gold fella. Cheerz Doc, John
