1. Well done Skol, you nearly got my vote but a Momentary Lapse of Reason & a touch of Granchester Meadows wouldn't let me
2. Like it a lot, reminds me of Adam Clayton though
3. If my memory serves me well - the old Post Office Jack Plugs were a bit bigger than 1/4" not smaller
4. Polytune gets my vote, accurate & easy to see + solidly made, should last a very long time.
5. Now I'm awake looking at the circuit, one of the micro toggle switches I've sent will do the job instead of two buttons, centre biased toggle, up/down momentary action, should be ideal & will probably match your bass select switch. Give me a shout if I can be any further help, Cheerz, John
6. Borrowed - http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f18/ebonol-fingerboard-care-837432/
7.
You can also get non-latching sub-miniature toggle switches from Maplin - see here. It's not clear whether they are all available, but types D and H should do the job. Also I have previously ordered stuff over the phone from Roland Extras - 01792 702701.
I just saw the above - I've got plenty of those too - I'll open the bag & stick a couple of them in too
8. I must admit - after Nige's poke I've had a fair listen to them all & what an inventive lot you are I saw the photo first of course, which set a preconceived sound trail in my head, so right or wrong I think I've voted for the soundtrack that came closest to my mind set. Very good
9. Honestly hadn't even seen it Nige, I'll have a look/listen now - thanks for the heads up
10. Just momentary action push button as far as I know, I only have those colours, the blue have short wires on, the green don't. PM your address & I'll send you a couple to try, foc. Cheerz, John
11. Hi Ped, I have a load of these - they are momentary action, not latching, you are very welcome to some to try if they're any good to you? Cheerz, John
12. My son has just had trouble finding a courier for a bike & a car seat. Both big & awkward, now he's found parcelmonkey, maybe worth a look.
13. Uncle Horrid = The Bass Doc
14.
Looks real to me, shame its a slab board, and not slab body, mind you, it would be 5x the price if it was!
Ah yes! That would explain it, there may just have been a little confusion in my poor old mind there for a minute or 12 Cheerz, John
15. I just spotted this on ebay real or not - I dunno http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Players-1961-Slab-board-Fender-Precision-/221118283124?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item337bad3d74&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1201
16. Bootiful Agree with Lozz about the scratch plate, I have a Fender Custom Shop Pearl that should have fitted straight on my AV '57, but not all the holes lined up perfect, it wouldn't lay flat. Uncle Horrid does make lovely plates, he's your best bet for a quality replacement. Cheerz, John
17. Yes they work & I've had no problem with 2 or 3 different models on different basses. Not sure which will suit the Warwick, go to Hipshot.com for the full range. I've never paid £95 for one though! Cheerz, John
18. Fender serial numbers what's the next 2 digits after 10? If you want a definite answer take the neck off & see what dates are on the heel &/or in the pocket. Cheerz, John PS You worry too much
19. Scalpel nurse! Sharp instrument to the scratch plate & mind your fingers, if you haven't got a Dremmel, got any files?
20.
What's the light thing? I want one!
With a name like your's? eBay 'blue LED strip' loads to choose from, simple 12V PSU or maybe power from a pedal board. I had to fit something to remind me the amp was still on, makes it harder to walk away without offing it Cheerz, John
21. Yes the overall shape/size/screw holes are the same, I've got both sorts of plate here. If there was a fifth hole it would be a 5 hole plate surely Cheerz, John Edit: I just read it again, you say 3or 4 knobs, I was thinking 3 or 4 holes
22. It sounds great! I wanted an 'electronic' option to the LB & thought the MiBass would do that job nicely - it certainly does! Cheerz, John
23. I made up a wiring kit for Mark's old Jap Jazz, hope the restored beast beats again soon! A complete pleasure dealing with him, great comms & instant payment, no problems here, top fella. Cheerz, John
24. Stop worrying about the odd £2.5K & get a *BIG BASTARD* http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/43132-ashdown-427-small-block-all-valve-head.html You know you want to
25.
One of the TC amps and use the DI? No cab needed and sounds epic
Help! I don't understand 'we' spend huge amounts of time & money getting the 'right cab/s' (not to mention anything else for now) for 'our sound', then you say "No cab needed and sounds epic"? How does that work? I know what you mean about the DI but what if the system you're DI'd into is crap? Are they all so good?
