Dear lovely fellow bassists and bass-lovers, I am a bassist based in the Netherlands and proud owner of two basses (Ibanez (my first bass) and a Höfner 500/1 contemporary). But I don't feel the magic with these two basses. I really really dig the sound of the Höfner but there is something that it is not my gem. I saw a 1966 Höfner Galaxie in a musicstore in Amsterdam and loved the feeling and felt more magic. Though, it was not my colour and it was also quite worndown. So now, I am really looking and desiring for a Höfner 182 model with white vinyl finish. If one of you can help me find one or even sell me one, would be absolutely amazing.
