  1. I have just had an email from Fender announcing them, so defo new! They are also doing some weird short scale six strings.......ah.....for gitards....sorry!
  2. Our favourite reference book strikes again!!!
  3. I’m reasonably confident these are new releases.
  4. Thanks for uploading the links @Linus27. I need to get some refresher lessons from my daughters!!
  5. Yes, by original style I was meaning 54. I like the look of it too!
  6. I have just spotted these new releases on the Thomann website (sorry my IT skills have disappeared today, so no link) and they look rather tasty. Available in some nice colours and the Jazz looks great with the period correct lollipop tuners and bound ‘board. I don’t recall seeing an original style Fender P before apart from Custom Shop and Japanese versions. Has anybody played any of this range yet?
  7. A pair of beauties right there. I love my AVRI 58 P and AO 60s Jazz....
  8. I have had mixed experiences with them. Small accessory orders such as strings are generally as they should be, although I spoke to them about a set they had listed but there was no drop down to buy them! The link was never updated despite making them aware of the omission. On the purchase of an ‘immaculate condition’ cab it arrived with a ripped cover. I queried this to be told ‘it’s pre-owned’. People’s descriptions of what is superb / mint / immaculate clearly vary!!
  9. And an absolute steal at that price!
  10. Congratulations! There is something special about a played in bass.....enjoy.
  11. Very nice!
  12. I love my PJB Double Four, it is a great little amp and being so tiny, I can even pack it in the car when we go on UK holidays! I like to look after my gear and despite also liking things to match (or be correct), I really couldn’t justify spending the crazy amount asked for by PJB for their Double Four carry bag. So, having checked dimensions decided to take a punt on a Thomann special - or to be exact, a Thomann Speaker Bag Behringer CE500. As you can see from the pictures, it is a great fit and the front pocket easily takes the long power cable and adapter. There is enough room on top of the amp for a chunky 12 foot cable. It is well padded and has a comfortable carry handle plus a shoulder strap. The best bit? The price of course.......£15.50! Thomann stock the PJB bag at £78! Sure the PJB might be an even better fit and stronger but I honestly think at £15.50, you can’t go wrong. Highly recommended. Now, any ideas on a similar solution for my Markbass Minimark?
  13. It also fits your colour requirements - it has black edging on the tan centre!
  14. Yep! My Retro is very comfortable and already has the road worn look, so any extra marks only add character! Says the marketing BS!
  15. My 2015 American Vintage Reissue - one of my favourite basses. The white blonde has a few nicks and some lacquer checking, whilst the back of the neck is now almost gloss free! It is my lightest Fender at just 8lbs and 3ozs. Set up with a set of La Bella gold white flats.
  16. What incredible craftsmanship. Beauty.
  17. That is a fine looking bass! Does it have a Jazz neck, with a 38mm nut?
