  1. Thank you very much! It is a 2015 American Vintage Reissue ‘58 P and one of my favourite basses.
  2. It is a great looking bass and no doubt sounds and plays amazing too!
  3. Wot! Shipping extra cost?!?!
  4. I’m following this with great interest. Jon is an outstanding luthier.
  5. Lovely indeed…
  6. That looks like a very nice bass!
  7. Welcome Jerry. Are you specifically wanting a brand new bass or would you be willing to buy pre-owned? I bought a new Sire from Andertons and the waiting time kept getting extended - not their fault. It was a nice bass with an ash body and maple fingerboard but it weighed a ton! David
  8. Lovely, especially that neck and fingerboard!
  9. I’m sure this is a very nice bass and obviously desirable for MH fans, I was just slightly taken aback by the £2250 price tag for a Mexican bass. I note the price has been further reduced to £1499.
  10. I have found Fender 9050L to be a good set of flats. I guess it also depends on what sound you want too as brands vary so much. You shouldn’t need to adjust the truss rod with these but you might find you can lower the saddles without creating fret buzz / choking if you want a lower action.
  11. These Deluxe series Jazz and Precisions are great basses. I have the same coloured Precision as this and they look even better than in the pictures! GLWTS.
  12. Oh my days….what a beauty!
  13. Good to hear they have now settled down! Great strings.
  14. I have one of these. Brilliant lightweight combo with plenty of bottom end from the 12 inch speaker. GLWTS!
  15. How are you finding the strings now @dmckee
  16. Thank you Reggaebass. I should also add that I thought white nylon on gold would be a rather nice match for a white blonde AVRI with a gold anodised guard.....yep, all part of the bass gear ocd!
  17. A true classic. I like it a lot!
  18. Thanks for the info, very interesting. The price has now been reduced to £1800, quite a drop!
  19. Thank you lowregisterhead!
  20. One of the nicest relics I have seen.
  21. .......unless I am completely out of touch with prices. Mark Hoppus Fender Jaguar Bass Guitar Hot Pink 2022. Made in Mexico (Custom apparently) and looks very nice but at £2250, it is out of my price range. Apologies for lack of direct link.....having IT challenges! Perhaps a kind BCer can oblige?
  22. Very good cases for the money. My ‘go to’ case for placing on the back seat of the car!
