1. ... Naive aspect ... heh Thanks for the honest opinion Dad, I appreciate that...Not my usual musical territory, to be fair! I promise not to induce migraines with my kick drums next time! Cheers James
2. Hello, I nearly wasn't going to bother this month, but after reading certain comments regarding techno beats I decided to take up a musical challenge ... mostly because modern dance music really isn't my forte, I'm more into the classic electronic music styles like Tangerine Dream etc.... so there you go. I have tried to capture the power of thunderstorms, nature, tornadoes and storm chasing all wrapped up in a edm style with a Native American influence.(?!) Does it work?.... who knows, but I had a lot of fun with this one I shall present you with my track "ThunderHead" : https://soundcloud.com/foolsjourney/thunderhead James.
3. *~*~ CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS SKOL303 ~*~* a very deserving winner for this month ! Special mention also to Dad for being runner up and doing such an excellent review on my track, the singer was well chuffed! I am just happy to have come within the top 15 to be fair, as I cheated by using a real musician to help out Cheers, James
4. I have re-uploaded my entry for this month..... adjusted and balanced the levels a little bit now... so you can actually hear it or not be deafened by it! https://soundcloud.com/foolsjourney/sacred-places Cheers, James
5. My entry for this month.... Lyrics and vox by my mate Rach, everything else by me. She only had last Saturday evening to come up with words, a melody between us and then record it over some crappy chords through a knackered £20 drum mic !! Please forgive the inconsistent sonic quality and levels etc At least it's another potential demo to work on at a later date if nothing else! https://soundcloud.com/foolsjourney/sacred-places James
6. Now edited to offer a straight sale for £35.00 inc postage.
7. Please may I ask a question? Is it within the rules to allow someone to add to a composition ie words and singing...as I am useless at both! James.
8. Hmmmm verrrry... interesting... *rubs chin* I'm going to put my bikini on and submerge my head in a bucket of water for a while, then see what I can come up with...if I don't drown first. James
9. Looking to swap a literally new Zoom B1on for someone's unwanted set of 4 inline *good brand* nickel precision bass tuners ... not sure about this term *relicing* so I will call it a "sympathetic restoration" to a bass . As long as they are fully functional and hold tune well, not bothered about cosmetic condition.. The sounds in the B1on are amazing, it is not a toy...The plastic case is tough. Will include box, unopened instructions and the slightly used batteries that came with it..... to be honest there is simply way too much in it for me that will just not get used, and have realised that maybe I should just stick to bass>lead>amp...life is just more straight forward that way. http://i1377.photobu...zpsr1opcac0.jpg Let me know what you have Cheers, James.

18. *SOLD* For sale is a super-duper DOD FX-91 Bass Overdrive pedal.... not made anymore and this is as near to mint as you will get, plus its original box and instructions...it has had the bare minimum of usage. Sounds really great (imho) and can do subtle grit to extreme fizz plus has blend with dry signal, tone control etc etc...lovely golden/bronze metal casing, and takes the "normal" 9v power supply (not included). Generally seems to be more highly regarded than the boss OD and is more subtle. Cheers, James.
19.
Lovely piece of music. Nice themes and motives and builds well with the change of Instruments and arrangement.
Cheers lowdown, a very kind comment. It still needs a fair amount of work regards arrangement and general playing standard, a lot was just rough copy n paste and throwing different bits on top .....but it's great that the esscence of the idea is coming over to the listener for now .
QFT I love how it builds throughout the piece.
Thanks for the comment Rikki,...is QFT a bit like WTF? James.
20. Huge price reductions on selected items.... buy buy buy... consume, obey !
21. I won't be officially entering this month.....but if I hadn't already started this tune months ago, this is the sort of thing I would have done!.... also, as some one who shall remain nameless now has my old monitors, I cant do any proper mixing currently. This is just a demo version and I also renamed it. https://soundcloud.com/foolsjourney/voyage-of-the-butterfly-boat Cheers James
