I think this thread covers it

Do both if you have the time. Bass is where it's at though😎

At 3 of our regular venues we all get a free 1st drink. I go with my JD & coke. As I drive I switch to soft drinks and all the venues let me have them for free.

I bought a second hand powered Laney 10" monitor and we also have a larger Bheringer extension speaker. Its not that powerful but does the job fine with vocals and guitar going through and we can all hear them fine. If I can I will raise up the Laney as I use that one.

I'm hijacking this thread again! I used my RM500evoII at the same pub twice in quick succession and was really impressed. The second time it was for a multi band wedding party for landlord. I got chatting to the bass player of the previous band and he was very complimentary of my sound and was telling his band mates why can't he sound like that. The next gig was at a smaller pup where I always need to turn down and don't go through the PA. Straight away i didn't like my sound and neither did the singer in our sound check. I needed to make some small eq chances, but what really annoyed and surprised me was thst I had to turn up my volume massively to be heard properly. My previous TC450 was on 2.5 here but the RM was on 7. The next day I set up st home and there was a loud hum when the compression circuit was engaged, and to be lesser extent the eq circuit too. It was really noticeable at volume 1! It wasnt there when i fisrt got it. Needless to say it gone back to PMT to get checked out. I don't have a gig until later in April so hopefully I'll be back up running with it soon. Not a great start.

Years ago i visited a friend of mine in San Francisco and most nights played darts with her flat mates. I beat them everytime so they can't be very good over there 😎

My upcoming Newcastle Arena gigs... a kind-of diary thread
mep replied to wateroftyne's topic in General Discussion
Great stuff. As usual a fantastic thread for fantastic show. Hopefully there will be some sneaky YouTube videos like last time to wet our appetite. I'm going to listen to some of those songs out of interest. -
I've only rested my thumb on the pickup or E string.

Great thread again. Another song requiring pick this time too? Which reminds me. I really enjoyed the Video Killed The Radio Star on YouTube. -
I've used my RM500evoII at a practice and gig and am very impressed. Even our guitarist was impressed too! Easy to get a great sound which really filled the stage and venue. Cant wait untill the next gig.

It was about Carl, and still is. Although not the same Carl. -

I'd like to stand up for all Carl's as its my name, except for 'Dark Cloud Carl' as he sounds like a total tool. I can confirm that Karl's are very different from Carl's and the proof is our singer! -
I forgot our power amp once. Just managed to drive the 20 mile round trip to get it whilst the sound engineer did a line check with the other 2. Forgot my strap once and had to use my belt. This was for a TV appearance but it wasn't noticeable.

This is on old video from a few years ago. The camera (Drift HD Ghost) was placed high up in the corner behind us facing the audience for a different perspective. Only 1 song and it's War Pigs by Black Sabbath. The audio comes from the camera too. It's a bit low-fi.

I'm looking forward to the follow too up after reading the first book over Christmas and enjoying the preview chapter for Fat Labrador.

That's may name. Can I join your band please Steve? Not sure what we'd do with 2 bass players though 😧 -
I enjoyed that. Catchy song and nice bassline. Simple but effective video with the lighting and masks! I'd be proud of that.

I enjoyed that. Great take on it.

Recorded back in 2015 with our son on drums performing War Pigs at The Coach House in Paignton. The camera is set in the back corner looking towards the audience.

At least the first photo is ok. The rest, well......

Thread revival. Took delivery of mine the other day. I have it paired with a BF Two10. Can't wait to gig it in 3 weeks. I assume you can use the DI out without connecting a speaker cab?, as this is how I practice with the band using just the PA in small room.

My new RM500 EVO II on my Two10. Haven't gigged the amp yet but mightly impressed so far.
