Glad you like it. I bought one about s year ago as my back up to my EBMM Stingray. I like it. I generally set the 2 band eq fairly flat and boost a little to suit. The output isn't too hot then and still sounds great. Great for a bit of slap on the side too. Must get some new strings to bring it back to its best.

Sadly they do. Also, after stating they will pay your price they then ask for your final price! The awful English always makes me smile.

I got this on Gumtree. Just tell them cash on collection and they will disappear.

What was the first major festival you ever went to?

Glastonbury 1986. Hopped over the hedge. Saw Lloyd Cole, The Cure, Madness, Level 42. Can't remember much else -
I'd like to be the first to remind everyone of Blue and his invisible bear!
I really loved the first four or five albums by the Foos but since then I feel they have become a bit too formulaic and safe. They are brilliant at creating very catchy pop songs in a rock vein but for me that's about as far as it goes these days. I only saw them once, quite a few years ago when they did the Hyde Park thing and it was an amazing show but that was before I had started to loose interest. A mate saw them last year (or was it the year before) when they toured. He still really likes them but said that after they had played for two hours or maybe more he was starting to get really bored and was ready for it to end. I was lucky enough to see Dave Grohl playing drums with Them Crooked Vultures and that to me was a real highlight. I really rate him as a performing and recording drummer and would happilly pay to see him drumming at any opportunity.
+1. Hyde Park Was a great gig. Was there too and bought the DVD. saw TCV at Plymouth pavilions and spent most of the gig up close watching Dave Grohl on drums which was fantastic. -
One of the sisters of First Aid Kit was using a couple of Hofners and a Fender Mustang (not at the same time I might add). And a nice sounding set up through a Fender rig
Yes, very tasty. And the basses weren't too bad either.
I watched them and was struck at how many basses he used, all of which to me sounded the same. I think it must have been on his bucket list to do more instrument changes than The Edge.
Surely you mean Chris Wolstenholme!

Someone call the police. Chic have Just stolen the show. This was even better than their last performance here. Mark Radcliffe summed it up saying he would gladly pay to come to Glastonbury just to watch that guy play bass. Stonking stuff.
-
Cracking set from them. Not seen too much of them but really enjoyed this performance. The drummer triggers some parts but otherwise it's the 2 of them with the other guy doing 3 people's job. You should check them out a bit more.

Not sure what this thread is about. Does it or will it feature real band adverts or what? If so the there is some milage in the thread. If not then I'll pass and waste my time doing something else, which is quiet easy here!

Me and Mrs Mep have seen them live twice. She is a big fan. For the most part I enjoyed it but she found it a bit boring. Some tasty bass playing by a Nate which I was appreciating -
Nice selection of basses for Royal Blood.

Cracking set and great sound through my stereo whilst watching it on iplayer.
Just wondering if the recent warm weather has helped resolve this or whether the log is still in dire straits? And if the log is in Dire Straits, which instrument does he play?
I'd imagine that the log is from a Basswood tree so that probably answers the question. -

I thought the log was in Yew 2. -
I have a n old CD one and use it for practising now whilst playing along to songs in our set. Quick and easy to set up. Most amps how have aux in and headphones but this does have some useful features. Some time ago I used to teach and found this a useful tool. I could use the different features to provide all sorts of backing tracks for my pupils by recording to a pc and burning them a CD.
Has it shut down? We played at 'The March of the Mods' there a couple of months ago, seemed a nice little venue.
I'll double check next time I drive past.

Oh no, not the Spinney!! I can't stand the place and avid it like the plague. The pub next door was Murphy Roadhouse but sadly is no more.
come and say Hi, Im the good looking one, you'll see..its obvious!
It seems we have something in common with our bands including some of our songs. Looking forward to it.
you and me both, and I can't hear the guitarist very well, ear plugs and all that, so it can take me a while to realise anything's wrong
I have joined that club too!
yep Exeter is your place for all things 4 & 6 string related (Mansons), Torbay is sadly now non existant for geetar shops, teignmouth has a little one thats not bad. If live music is your thing theres loads of pubs doing live music at the weekends, I can recommend the Coach House in Paignton, The Queens Arms in Brixham, (we're playing there this Sat ) and several places in Torquay itself, have a look here https://www.lemonrock.com/advancedsearchvenues.php?gigcityId=Torquay%2C+Devon+TQ1&EC_gigcityId=52152&maxMilesVenue=25&venuetypename=pub&venuename=&isAnchorSearch=0&isAnchorSearch=1&venuegigschedule=1&isVenueMember=0&isVI=0&isVTel=0&isEmV=0&isVPh=0&isVU18=0&isMap=0&entPolicyId=0&venSearchType=0&accMask=0&a=search
2 of our favourite venues too. I've been meaning to catch your band. Will pop along to the coach house on the 23rd.

I live here and if you are looking for music shops then you will be disappointed. I have to visit Mansons in Exeter. Are you looking for other types of shops? You will have more luck going to gigs. When are you coming here?
always liked the driving bassline on the Spice Girls' "Who do you think you are." there, I said it...
There is no shame in admitting that here. You are umongst people who understand. The bass is what people dance to so it has to work.
