1. Years ago a band i was in played a wedding. We agreed to bring a CD player and plug it into the PA to play the couples first dance song as there was no DJ. Somehow I accidently played the wrong track.
2. Don't buy it myself. There would be loads of bleed through the vocal mic and there's none.
3. Ok. No surprise really. Thought it was due to some posts. At least not mine. Thanks for the clarification. Next time I'll PM to ask such questions. I hoped Peter crouch played bass and it was his and he secretly visited BC.
4. Yesterday a thread was started called Oooh I Say Mrs Peter Crouch and featured a picture of Abbey Clancy and what looks like a P Bass. The picture was from the Huffington Post http://www.huffingto..._n_5994450.html I posted at lunchtime and when i got home to review my content the thread had gone. OK. So it's anther teasing photo of Abbey Clancy, and one of many. The photos are easily seen on the web site and I am not restricted from seeing them with my IP filter on. Why was the thread deleted? Were some of the posts getting too risque? Some people like to get a bit carried away at times. I can't imagine it was just down to the photograph. When I click on my history I get the error message [#10340] You do not have permission to view this topic. Hopefully a Mod will come along to explain.
5.
Does anybody know where I can get the tab for this awesome Extreme song please? I have tried a couple off the net but the just dont sound right Thanks in advance
Are you still looking for a transcription?
Ahh, that's a shame - great song though, great band too! It must've been fun trying though? Actually thinking about it, I don't think I've ever seen a covers band do an Extreme song before, pity! I did do a couple in a band at Uni but that was MANY years ago.
I once covered Hole Hearted in a duo, does that count?
6. Cool . Just followed so will check out soon. There are 2 other Basschat Spotify playlists to check out. Plenty to keep you busy. 7. There was a thread about this song a while back. I have a superb tab / transcription if you need it. http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1
8.
I recall seeing Duff McKagan horribly screw up the intro to sweet child O' mine in Paris on video, he knew it too.
Thank god for that. I feel much better. I fluffed it recently at a gig and had to stop. Started on the wrong note and never recovered.
9. But all the punters will want to stand up fot the key change. Oops, sorry wrong band. I thought I was on the Westlife forum!
10. Don't forget there is a key change at the end too. Good fun song when nailed.
11.
Couldn`t this one and the South West meet up be combined? If it is in Devon, then that is in the South West, and be accesible to more people further inland.
Same thoughts here.
12. Always good to see another new member from the US. Welcome and enjoy the forum.
13. What about the Devon hotel in Matford.tIt's easily accessible with parking and just out of town. I have been to auditions and seminars there.
14. I would be interested if it's close to Exeter. I'm in Torquay which is close enough.
15. War Pigs - Black Sabbath. We have had a pub singing along to this. The intro and guitar solo sections will keep you busy for a while. Crazy Train - Ozzy. Great fun to play.
16. Hi and welcome. Never been on Talkbass but hopefully this is all we need.
17. Mrs Mep did it and got 9/10. She is not a bass player and got Coldplay's bass player wrong. I am impressed and embarrassed.
18. I use one but only for getting out front for sound checks as other have commented. Seems ok for that.
19.
Biker festivals - pretty sure they would love your material.
I wish this was the case with the local bike festival down my way. I am a biker and have been going to it since it started. I met the guy who books the bands at a bike night, in my bike gear, and introduced myself etc and gave him our card and explained who we are and that loads of people wonder why we don't play the festival. Didn't get a look in the for the next festival. Will try again this year for the next one. One problem is I heard he won't book a band if he even thinks they are too heavy!
20. I definately won't be watching the concert on Sky Arts 1 this week.
21. This is still happening? Had the same problem years ago snd have never used the steel round wounds since. Happened when I was recording so was well pi55ed.
22. Good luck with your gig. Be sure to let us know how you get on.
