1.
I recall seeing Duff McKagan horribly screw up the intro to sweet child O' mine in Paris on video, he knew it too.
Thank god for that. I feel much better. I fluffed it recently at a gig and had to stop. Started on the wrong note and never recovered.
2. My Ray of course. What else do you need?
3. But all the punters will want to stand up fot the key change. Oops, sorry wrong band. I thought I was on the Westlife forum!
4. Don't forget there is a key change at the end too. Good fun song when nailed.
5.
Couldn`t this one and the South West meet up be combined? If it is in Devon, then that is in the South West, and be accesible to more people further inland.
Same thoughts here.
6. Always good to see another new member from the US. Welcome and enjoy the forum.
7. What about the Devon hotel in Matford.tIt's easily accessible with parking and just out of town. I have been to auditions and seminars there.
8. I would be interested if it's close to Exeter. I'm in Torquay which is close enough.
9. War Pigs - Black Sabbath. We have had a pub singing along to this. The intro and guitar solo sections will keep you busy for a while. Crazy Train - Ozzy. Great fun to play.
10. Hi and welcome. Never been on Talkbass but hopefully this is all we need.
11. Mrs Mep did it and got 9/10. She is not a bass player and got Coldplay's bass player wrong. I am impressed and embarrassed.
12. I use one but only for getting out front for sound checks as other have commented. Seems ok for that.
13.
Biker festivals - pretty sure they would love your material.
I wish this was the case with the local bike festival down my way. I am a biker and have been going to it since it started. I met the guy who books the bands at a bike night, in my bike gear, and introduced myself etc and gave him our card and explained who we are and that loads of people wonder why we don't play the festival. Didn't get a look in the for the next festival. Will try again this year for the next one. One problem is I heard he won't book a band if he even thinks they are too heavy!
14. I definately won't be watching the concert on Sky Arts 1 this week.
15. This is still happening? Had the same problem years ago snd have never used the steel round wounds since. Happened when I was recording so was well pi55ed.
16. Good luck with your gig. Be sure to let us know how you get on.
17. You can push the poles in so they are flush with the pup cover. Ideally with the strings off or loosened so you can gain access. You can't push too hard as they will stop when your fingers reach the pup cover. I did this to even them out as I was experiencing quieter D & G strings. But of course there is no such problem over at the EBM forum, as you have found out!
18. I have read that the compressor should be before the ovtaver in order to even out the signal but tru both.

Looks like the 3B model if it has the through neck and active pups. I have the 2B model with standard neck and passive pups. Should play nice and is built like a tank.
20. Good luck and have fun. Nothing wrong with Tie Your Mother Down. One our best songs. Edit. I hope you know how to pull off as you will be doing it a lot!
21. To hide the weedy bridge!
22. Looks good. Hope you really dig it. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
23. For years I was using a smiley face eq. Now I favour the low mid boost in a slight frown on my 12 band. It can sound boxy but works a treat in a band setting. Make your final choice st a gig venue, not at home and with the whole band.
