I wonder if he was at the illegal rave held at the airfield on Davidstowe moor over the jubilee weekend, reliving those hippie memories? https://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2022-06-05/illegal-moor-rave-attended-by-hundreds-continues-into-third-day -
Me and Mrs Mep watched it and enjoyed it. We are both just old enough to member them back in the day.

Great song. We used to do the Muse version, which was a blast to play and went down well.

Hawkwind. Chronicle of the black sword album 1985
mep replied to police squad's topic in General Discussion
I'm quite a Hawkwind fan and have read a few Michael Moorcock books. When Chronicles came out we were well into it. Some great songs and well produced . H L-L guitar was outstanding. At the time our band partly modelled ourselves on Hawkwind and Needle Gun and Moonglum were in our set, along with some other HW songs. Unfortunately we had a poor female singer at the time and after seeing a video of a gig we realised it wasn't working with her and we packed it in. The guitarist and I moved on with an original project. I have fond memories of my late teens and early twenties listening to to Hawkwind and reading MM books. I live on Devon and Hawkwind were regularly playing some minor festival nearby, so got the chance to see them love indoors and our quite a few times. -
This is the thread that keeps giving. I dug out and old photo of a Stereophonics tribute band I was in playing a Uni annual ball, supporting Artful Dodger & The Nowlans.

Another photo from the archives. This was taken in spring 1992 just before I left for Hong Kong . A group of us hand a farewell party for me camping in the New Forrest. I'm on acoustic guitar this time. My mate is on my acoustic bass and something else!

It's one of these for when he does Roxanne.

Another one from me. In 2005 I returned to Hong Kong for a holiday and met up with some old muso buddies in my old haunt The Wanch in Wan Chai for some jamming.

Dug a few more out. These first lot are from the early 90's when I lived in Hong Kong and was involved in quite a few bands. Great fun and memories. Apologies for the mullet content! The last 2 are from the mid 90's when I came back to the UK.

Definitely some sort of copy. It looks like it's sold, probably to some poor unsuspecting person?

My Aria Pro 2 fretless sounds like it fits your bill. Worth looking out for one?

Welcome to the forum. Great intro and good to see some different instruments, they look like fun.
