Hi Guys n Girls, I am playing the Monto Water Rats on Friday 18th December. I will be using my new Barefaced compact! Anyways we are playing along side a band call FRENZY some 1980s generated neo-rockabilly/psychobilly band. We are on at 11.00pm. Tickets from me are £6 or on the door £12. Cheers, Ben
9. Hi Alex, Seems like I have sorted the problem. The bass guitar needed setting up properly the action was way out. You have done a very good job with this cab. Sounds spot on and makes life so easy being so light. Cheers,
10.
Just to discount the possibility, when was the last time you changed your strings? And does this happen with both pickups together and or solo'd?
Hi there, I changed the strings about a month ago. As for the pickups alway have both pickups up full. I tryed it with my Stuart Spector NS-94 and it has the same problem. Cheers,
11. Hi Alex, I have got a BareFaced compact, peavey firebass head I play a Ibanez SR500 bass. I am not sure what the problem is but the E string sounds amazing A string sounds amazing but the D sting and G seem to lose volume and don’t cut though the mix. Turning up the treble doesn’t help. I never had this problem with the Trace Elliot 4x10 with horn. Maybe its the horn I am missing? Any ideas to what I am doing wrong. I am looking to replace the head next year prob with Markbass little iii. Will that help the problem as I understand VPF controls the high end? Cheers, Ben
12. I was reading about the Carvin BX500 in the BassPlayer magazine it got a good review. But I hve never owned one or met someone with one. Whats your thoughts? Cheers, Ben

16. I am still thinking about this hartke peavey swap. On the Peavey amp I use the contour all the time. Is there a pedel out there that does the same thing?
17. Welcome to the forum. I live Greenhithe, just up the road from you!
18. Currently looking for a new bass head to replace my very heavey Peavey firebass. It must be over 300watt at 8 ohm as it will be powering my Barefaced Compact once I have orderd it. Found a few already Markbass Little 11 Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 gallien krueger MB 500 Are there any others? Must be around the £600 or under. Cheers,
19. Trace Elliot now sold! Peavey head pending swap for a LH500. Cheers,
20.
As long as you put the microphone in front of the speaker and not behind the amp head, you won't have a problem. S.P.
Very funny.. cool, well I think that it is a good idea to swap over the Hartke LH500. I will let you all know once I have joined the LH500 gang. Thanks guys!
